posted 21st Dec '07
But i didnt really get any replys. I have woke up the past 3 nights to use the bathroom with a lot of pain and a very tight stomach. I felt it even when i was just rolling over to the other side. I used the washroom aprox 7 times last night waking up not once without the contraction. Has anyone experienced this and how long is it going to last. Im sleepless because of it. PLEASE HELP

It doesnt really sounds like any kind of UTI?? Otherwise it would hurt when you actually pee. I think it is just your belly and ligaments getting ready to have that baby! Maybe you should just call the dr. and ask.

I had a dr apointment yesterday and told her about it. She said since i was in preterm labor 3 times and baby is healthy and has received steriods for his lungs to go home and use "home remedies" to induce labor if i want to try. Im really miserable and in pain. I just want to know how much longer this will take

Oh we're due on the same day ^-^

The tight stomatch generally means BH - but I haven't had trouble with using the bathroom. However the baby does hell to my bladder and it does get very uncomfortable to move around sometimes - but I can't call it painful =\

Maybe the baby has dropped and is in an uncomfortable position?

Eek but we haven't even hit the 37 week mark yet.. don't you think it's a little early to try to induce labour at 35 weeks? =\ Not much longer to go now eh?

I have had that too. I think it is just bhs. I get one every time I try to get out of bed or when I get into the shower or when I pee. It is better now, but I still get 'em. Maybe I just got used to it?

how much longer is a question with no real answer, unfortunately. I'm sorry you're not getting sleep, but you're not alone, if that's any consolation. Many of us in these last few weeks have a HARD time getting sleep for one reason or another. If you feel up to it, walking can help make contractions stronger. So if you wake up with a contraction, walk around your house a little. If it goes away you can try to sleep some more. If they get stronger and closer maybe you'll have your baby.

Did your doctor give you a cervical exam? If you're having contractions, I wonder if you're dilating at all...good luck.

But your due date is in December (labour dust!!) .. hers is at the end of January.. don't you think it's a little early to start trying to go into labour .. it being 4 weeks away?

I had an internal exam last sat night when i went in with preterm labor for the 3rd time. My cervix is 100% effaced but no dilation. I recieved steriods for babys lungs at 30 weeks when i first had my labor stopped twice then again at 32 weeks. Dr says no matter waht she knows i wont make it to my due date. She said baby is big and i really dont have a heck of a lot of room left anyway.

I know i still have a month left; however, dr said my baby is 6 pounds at least give or take 11 ounces. I have had steroids for lungs, and my cervix is 100% effaced so no matter what baby is comming. I want him to be healthy but im not healthy...and its making me depressed not being able to do much without getting so many contractions, or no sleep.

Don't you think going another week or two (as the baby is growing rapidly, and the more grown, the better) would be better than going now though?

You seem a little too eager to give birth .. it's one thing not wanting to go to FULL term.. but it's another not to try going to term (37 weeks) and start the homeopathy for labour...

Do you roll over (position) and are awoken by the awful pain in your tummy too? I swear i dont think the one big contraction goes away because its already contracting when i wake up to roll over, as if its stayed like that since i last layed down.

6 pounds .. Give or take 11 ounces..

Mine is 5.3 pounds.

Yeah the baby is coming no matter what as it is.. but why would you want to help.. just to relieve your own discomfort?

2 more weeks and the baby won't be premature.

Im taking it you have had a pretty good pregnancy? Have you been to the hospital at all for preterm labor or false labor? It like a regular thing for me. I understand child birth is painful but I think my doctor is a smart lady. She has tested me for evertything and anything because of the pain. Recently i was tested for excess amniotic fluid becuase my stomach is so hard you cant feel the baby. His stress is good, heart rate good, but when i went for my emerge ultrasound they said only slight excess of fluid. I have even puzzled her!

Actually I've been doing all I can to avoid preterm labour . Look at my size.. heh not fun lugging all this extra weight around and has it's downsides..

I've been seeing the doc every week since I hit 30 weeks, and every week throughout all of my first trimester, had around 30 ultrasounds done and I get my blood and urine checked every 3 weeks. (Fear of antiphospholipid syndrome as well as difficult pregnancies run in my family).

The doc told me that as soon as 37 weeks hit - I can knock myself out at trying to go into labour early, I certainly don't plan to.
