Becky & Bill's Wedding Thread

Colors are green and white (and possibly purple)
Date is(tentatively) July 5, 2014
Venue is DFs dads backyard lol
He owns a xmas tree farm. it goes street, yard, house, yard, barn, smurfload of xmas trees,giant field, woods and next to the field is a pond. we'll be getting married and having the reception in the field so it will be very private, no traffic noises and tons of country nature noises  
Flowers: Lilies
We are renting tents, tables, chairs, tablecloths, lights, dancefloor, and bar.
We're going to have tiki torches, floating candles on the pond (i hope) and a bonfire after dark and HOPEFULLY fireworks too since itll be the 4th of july weekend
We will cater food and provide a bar full of alcohol!
We are also going to grow all our own flowers for the wedding

I'm NOT going to have my hair up like that, I was just experimenting at the time. I actually dont know exactly how I want my hair yet I just know I want it mostly down.
It also looks so big on me because it's like a size 14 and I'm wayyyyyy smaller than that lol it obviously needs to be altered a ton.

CENTERPIECES
we're going to add either white, or green and possibly purple liles sitting next to the candle, right on the table and wrap some pretty lace around the holder

CAKE
its a coconut cake that my sister and I are going to make, 3tiered with not so much coconut on the outside as in the picture. The inside will be completely tie dye  

I'm thinking of doing my hair like this, but with a bigger bump behind the tiara and no veil

Any input would be great or things I maybe have forgotten so far and need to do ASAP!!!

not sure about the flowers yet but i definitely want to go with white because i hate green flowers. Maybe lilies....

I love the tent, but I would not charge people for drinks. That is like asking people to pay you to come and watch you get married, kinda rude.

well, just the alcohol. so people wouldnt specifically have to drink...plus it would be cheaper for them than if we rented a venue and had a cash bar.
hmmm saying it that way makes me feel a little better about it, because honestly a lot of people have cash bars at their wedding.
i still feel weird about it though...

Yes, they have cash bars for liqueur only beer and wine are always free and those are at venues. You are providing your own venue. I just think it's tacky to ask your invited guests to pay for their drinks, just my opinion though. If it is going to be burden then just provide beer and wine.

Yeah we are going to provide the beer and wine, but thats the thing. we're providing our own venue as well and it costs more than twice as much as a hall just to rent everything. we're already making the food ourselves to try to cut down on cost but providing alcohol for a 150 guest wedding? its going to get really expensive really fast...thank god its on a saturday so we can make a 9:30pm packie run if we have to

Ya, I see where you are coming from weddings are expensive. We had over 250 people, luckily my parents footed the bill, otherwise I would have been a poor

Oh my gosh we go so much money it was insane. Just from doing a money dance alone we got $800 dollars. Then came all the cards!!!!
