She should have spoken up before hand. 9 times out of 10, they aren't going to ask. They'll just do it if you signed forms.

Really? They made me sign everything before they gave my LO anything. And I was even an emergency case where they had to ask between contractions when I was 9cm dilated. Same for my sisters, they always make you sign everything to cover their butts since they can for sure be sued if they give them something without your consent.

No you HAVE to sign a consent form in order for them to give it in the hospital.

I don't know how it works in the US but here babies are given the BCG at 6 weeks & 3 MMR vaccines a month apart & a booster MMR at 12 months. My daughter has only had the BCG so far & she had that at about 7 months. I do plan on her having all her immunisations (except flu/swine flu etc) but they'll be delayed.

I think you should definitely look in to all your options before making a decision.

I said if you signed forms. If you already signed the forms, they aren't going to check back with you and ask "are you sure?" A lot of people don't know what they're signing then get mad when something was done without their permission when in fact they DID have their permission.

I am trying to figure out where to start with not getting my son vaccinated. Who do I contact or see to fill out a form for vaccine redemption? I live in Pennsylvania, please can someone give me info on that? Ive tried looking it up, but I cant seem to get a direct answer.

Also just for your information, Catholic preschools/private schools don't have to allow the exemptions.

Louisiana has personal, religious, and medical exemptions. Getting an exemption is as simple as saying "My child is not vaccinated. Can I have an exemption form?"

Put a note in at the hospital that your baby is not to be vaccinated, make sure everybody entering the room knows that your child is not to be vaccinated, and at my hospital, they brought me a form to sign before they took her to check her asking if I would like her to be vaccinated. I told them I would wait to see her pediatrician. Because then they won't take it upon themselves to do some "public service" and "accidentally" vaccinate your baby because you're going to vaccinate them anyways.

Any school or daycare that receives funding from the government has to abide by the state exemptions.

Not true. Sometimes decline and they do it anyway. This happened to my friend. She said no and it was done anyway.

i know this is kind of late but i had to sign a form at the hospital saying i was refusing the vaccines and understood the risk of doing so. also all my dischargd papers said declined vax
