Yeah, I can't believe that it's been over 5 weeks already. But you know what? I am so glad he is getting older because we are on the verge of a schedule. I can feel it. He really hasn't slept the same two days in a row but it's definitely getting better on average.

He didn't hardly sleep at all yesterday in the afternoon. I was sooooo exhausted by the time my hubby and 2 year old got home. Hubby was exhausted from work. We were so tired and Elliott wouldn't stay asleep for more than 30 minutes at a time. Ugh. BUT...He finally went down around 9:30 p.m. and stayed asleep. I went in at 10:00 p.m. thinking he would be up any minute and I woke up at 2:00 a.m. He hadn't nursed since 7:45 p.m. so I was so engorged it hurt. I pumped one breast and got over 5 ounces. Then I went and woke him up! I've never done that at night. He was ready though. Then he slept until 6:00 a.m. So, that's like 4.5 hours then 3 hours for a total of 7.5 hours. Whoot! I can deal with that schedule if he can keep it up.

i agree the pregency went by o slow and now that she is here it seems to fly by, but i was told by my friend that the reason time is flying by is because now i dont sleep nearly as much as i did, i thought it funny.

i guess i am lucky my little one eats 4 ozs every 3 and a half hours but she only gets up once at night normally around 4 in the morning, and shes only 2 weeks, the first week wasnt like that though, but she sleeps almost all day as well, i just hope that she sticks with this schudule. i hope that yours stay on that schudule to, makes it much nicer when you get some sleep.

Yeah, I am a totally different person on sleep! Elliott is awake more and more during the day now. It can be tiring to entertain him when I am the only one home. I can't wait until he can interact instead of just sit there. It's more rewarding with a little smile or giggle. Oh, and they say formula fed babies sleep better at night faster than the breastfed ones. That's a plus. I am not having any problems with producing milk at this point so he gets plenty. Especially after a few hours.

Hey there! I'll join ya, but Im not a Nov mama... Missed it by 5 days! lol He was born Oct 27th...
I cant believe hes almost 7 weeks! He will be 7 weeks old in 7 hours! Crazy!!!! MY boy is getting so big! But I love it at the same time!
Hes got some temper on him. lol The second the bottle is out of his mouth, he gets SOOOO mad! Even when he pulls it out himself!
But at the same time, he will smile at you, and when he smiles, it lights up his whole face (not unlike his daddy) and you can see it in his eyes. I love it!
He looks like daddy, too, which I absolutely love!
Oh, and hes almost sleeping right through the night.... Goes to sleep anywhere between 7-10:30, sleeps about 4-4.45 hours, wakes up for usually a half hour to eat, then goes back to sleep until 5-8:30 (depending on what time he fell asleep).
Ive gotten lucky!

I'm so jealous about the smiling! I want my little guy to get it figured out.

Awww, that's cute sodapop. Elliott is really good at batting at the stuff hanging on his gym. He will roll from his tummy to his back. He really doesn't like being on his tummy.
