Did you contract first then lose length cuz that is usually a sign of ptl. IC is losing length with no signs at all pretty much until it is too late. p17 is awesome stuff! Relaxes everything down there.

At 20 weeks I was losing lenght with no signs at all..then at 23 weeks had contractions was checked n they said there was no change.. but had to get my contractions stopped ..then I have been feeling fine best I've felt just hip pain..but got my u/s today and there was change doctor asked how I been feeling I was like great no pains nothing..I went from 3.7 to 2.7 they want me to be seen for two u/s in the next 4 weeks.. my high risk doctor seems worried so now I'm freaking out ..how likely is it to make it to 34 weeks for me that's about ten weeks away

Well just breathe and stay in bed! A lot of momma's make it without a stitch. I wish you didn't have it but the good news is with future pregnancies a stitch should fix you right up! If you want we have a fb group (on the op) where it is a little more active than here.

This is wonderful!! I have an IC, 3 angel babies, and a Healthy 19m old Girl named Madelyn. I am also 8 weeks pregnant. I have had two cerclages and will be getting a 3rd next month. I can support others any one who needs an ear! I am on bedrest now and will be til july!!

Hey girls, just checking... No changes overnight.. No contractions or anything... Baby is looking good on monitor this morning... I will get my second dose of steroids this afternoon and then the stitch will come out tomorrow afternoon... Continue to send positive thoughts and prayers my way that she stays put and my body holds after the removal... 24 weeks and 3 days today!

Was in here in 2010 while pregnant with my 2nd son.. they found out after losing my first that i have IC.had lots of issues/cerclage with my second (he's living though    )..i'm pregnant again, due to get a cerclage at 12 weeks.. what a crazy ride this will be!

i will be 18 weeks this sat! There not sure why i go early . i go to a special dr in rochester ny . i also have a normal baby dr. every two weeks i go see the speical dr for cervix checks and on 12/21.2012 will start the weekly shots. i had a baby at 34 weeks and another at 29 weeks they both had many medical problems. I was just told today that i have high blood presser and that i have had it before i had my kids but this is the first time they put me on meds and i am 30 years old also i have to take extra folic acid per day. they are hoping i go after 36 weeks i would love to have a full term baby with no medical problems . there hoping i dont have to have stiches and they will decied that at 25 weeks if cervix thins out

Hi ladies. I just lost my baby girl on Wednesday after my water breaking at almost 16 weeks. It makes me so frustrated and angry because we knew my cervix had been compromised by a LEEP/cone biopsy but my peri said I needed to wait until at least 18 weeks to measure my cervix. Of course I wish now we had been able to just get the cerclage as a precaution, or at least had my cervix checked routinely. Looking back I've had symptoms of my cervix dilating for the last few weeks, I just didn't know that's what it was.

How early have you ladies have been able to get a cerclage? Did you have to lose a baby before action could be taken?
