When doc seen it she was concerned so she gave me a shot for baby's lungs and I had to go back the next day to get a second one.. I'm taking progesterone shots every weeks and instead of two weeks she wants to see me back next. Week. I've had a cerclage in since 13 wks.

Are you on bed rest?

Yes, I've been on bedrest since 14 wks. It was moderate but now doc says she only wants to to get up to go to the bathroom, dr apps, and to eat.

Even with you losing length it doesn't mean you will have the baby right away. Just lay flat and relax as much as you can. We have momma's on fb lose length one day and gain a few weeks later.

I'm hoping. I feel optimistic. With my first son we had no idea I had IC and it was horrible losing him but I'm under really good care now so hoping when I go back on Tuesday I gained some back  

Just a question, What is the normal time frame of getting a ROUTINE cerclage placed? I'm concerned because i'm already going on 15 weeks, and STILL waiting for an appointment to see a specialist. My OB hasn't even checked my cervix, I've only had a regular dating ultrasouind last week. I keep reading about women having them placed at 12, 13, weeks? Are they leaving me too long?

I don't want my risks to skyrocket, as i've been through this before...

Typically it's 11 wks to 16 wks sometimes earlier and sometimes later but before 16 is usually best. If you aren't happy with things consult with another doc.

I have this condition as well, I had to be referred to a high risk doctor when pregnant with my son. I had previous unknown cause for miscarriage and had previous surgery as well on my cervix, had no clue I had IC(short cervix). They placed an emergency mcdonald cerclage when I was 16 weeks along with my son ..my cervix had dilated to 1 1/2 cm and just were way too softened. He is now 16 months old. =) I just had another mcdonald cerclage put in on Thursday which was successful, no more bed rest. =) I have a healthy son (and daughter but she was prior to having IC) & Now am 18 weeks pregnant with a baby girl who is healthy as well!! At 1 point with my oldest I got as low as 1.4 CM and was in the hospital on bedrest for a week, she held out until 37 weeks!!!!

Both of mine were placed at 15 weeks 5 days.

Hoping I gained some length, I'm 25 weeks today and I go to the dr tomorrow to check!

So i'm booked to have my cerclage tomorrow at 2:00 PM.
I'll be 15 weeks and 3 days.
I'm hoping it will be smooth...
With my daughter i had it done as an emergency at 18+ weeks, but that went well too.

Wish me luck, i'm nervous and relieved at the same time.

I just found out I have this too..last time I was checked it was t 3.7 and now today I'm at2.7 I was in the hospital this that weekend for contractions. The doctor wanted to keep me right then and there but she said to go home on bed rest and come back in 2 weeks and will go from there..I'm freaking out but hearing some of the stories helps ..I'm hoping to make it to 34 week..
I'm on the 17p once a week and on vistuieril to calm things down but she seemed really worried ..
