Ok ladies I need opinions on wwyd..... This morning I was laying on the couch and I felt like a drippy sensation, almost like I peed myself a Lil bit. I didn't think much of it cause normally since I've become pregnant if I don't go per right away I will " drip ". Well when I finally did get up I dont wanna say I felt a gush, or the drippy feeling. I just felt really wet, so I rushed to the bathroom and there was a good size wet spot on my panty liner, that almost not completely but almost looked.. Kind of snotty? The rest of my panty liner was dry ( and smelled like pee, TMI I know ) but this one spot, kind of smelled like nothing. Now I'm pretty sure I'm not leaking., I mean I've had a horrible cold, so I'm coughing my head off.. Nothing's coming out when I do ( which I know can mean nothing ) . I haven't tried the laying down for 30 minutes yet, fixing to tho.... So I'm freaking myself out now lol... What would you ladies do if you were me?

I would call your dr. Anytime your discharge changes they want to know. Are you having any pains any where or contractions at all? How far along are you?

That's lucky, I'm pretty sure the same Dr will be able to take mine out too.

I called the doctor, they said as long as I'm not having contractions ( which I'm not ) or any discomfort at all ( no discomfort either ) just to drink plenty of water and relax as much as possible, and monitor things. I am 23 weeks but according to baby's size I am 24.

just to be safe most down for a bit and see if it keeps happening. If it does it could be your water.

Hey girls, I just popped in after a while, glad to see that this thread is still active as ever and you all are helping eachother out. I am so glad I found this place when I was going through it all, and bed rest with tons of time to lie there scared.
But it all turned out fine, and I believe that it will for all of you too.

One thing I keep suggesting, since it saved my baby:

If you can't Have a cerclage, or if it's not doing it's job completely, have a pessary fitted!!!!! It takes a moment, no pain, no surgery, and it holds your cervix shut until delivery. It looks like a small silicone donut. Oh, and it is not expensive. You just have to ask your doctor for one. For some reason they rarely mention this super easy life saving treatment. Some doctors don't even know about the pessary or don't want to use them, something that is crazy if you ask me. The pessary is risk free and can only be helpful.

Good luck with everything girls, hang in there and don't let the fear get you too much. Watch comedies and eat some chocolate, it will help you relax and that is very important. Really!

Concerned about the same myself. I have been in the hospital two days this week with contractions and am dilating but they were able to give me something and put a temporary patch in my uterus to try and keep the baby in. Luckily, he is still showing good vitals just contractions and dilating. Turns out I have an incompetent cervix, anterior placenta and have my anemia getting worse and the opposite of gestational diabetes both days my blood sugar was less than 50. Unfortunately, I am only 23 weeks.

So I'm new here, pregnant with my second boy. I had my first at 22 weeks and he couldn't liv outside mamas body. I am now 17 weeks and have had my cerclage in place since 13 weeks and get progesterone shots every week. I was feeling very optimistic until I went to the dr last week and said my cervix was shortened a little bit. :/ I've been on bedrest since 14 weeks, hoping to keep this baby boy inside!

There is a light at the end of this tunnel!

I had my first son at 28 weeks and he died at 10 days old. Just had my second son 5 months ago at 35.5 weeks and he's as healthy as ever. No problems aside from breastfeeding. And I had the cerclage put in at 15wks, on bed rest at home by 18wks, bed rest at hospital for pre-term labor from 25- to birth.

You can do it Momma. Just try to NOT stress too much over it. I had Pre-E and high blood pressures all the time because I was scaring myself. It's not worth it.

Saw the doc again this week and now they have me on bed rest till after the baby is born. They say that the ant placenta and ic is already causing me to dilate and we can not take any risks. It is too early for him to come now.

Thank you. It is very scary to think he could come early and I have nothing at the moment to be ready. I just want him to be safe mommy will do whatever that takes.
