Do you feel it or anything?

There was a little bit of tugging and it wasn't comfy but it didn't really hurt but that's not to say it won't...but most women get over the pain shortly after if they feel it. Are you on our fb page?

getting my cerclage removed in 7-8 weeks and wondering how long after having it removed others went into labor...my doctor said they expect me to have her within 48 hours but it all depends...also did you ever feel a pulling feeling like something was pulling on the stitch...if so could it be dilating??

I would say if it's short and soft and you have had no pain there is at least a 90% chance it's ic...and that is at the least.

Hey! i am in this group, i must have joined in my previous pregnancy. Well i do have a good question maybe someone can help me...

So at 16 weeks pregnant i got a cerclage (purse string) and My ob secured the top and bottom.. i recovered fast. i have myself on bedrest to avoid any problems. 2 days after surgery, i had a vaginal ultrasound to check my cervix ( i get one every 1 to 2 weeks) and they also put me on P17 shots that day too. They checked the baby and all was great, and my stitches and cervix were good too. I am now 16 weeks and 5 days pregnant... My question is, Can my cervix still shorten even with a cerclage in place? and if it shortens too soon, does that mean im for sure gonna lose my baby or is there alternative things they can do to help me hold my baby in there longer? Also if cervix did shorten too much, would there be any symptoms? or would i only know through ultrasound? sorry for the questions but im just so terrified right now and losing my daughter was horrible, and I dont want to lose my son too.

You have an inner cervix and out. The higher up the cerclage the better. You can shorten on the inside still all the way to your stitch but it does NOT mean you will have you baby. Some women dilate with their stitch in and still make it to term. Just like you can lose length you can also gain. Definitely do not worry unless your doctor seems worried. On page 1 is our fb link...most of the girls are there now so def join if you have a FB. We have many momma's who are still pregnant but short and are doing pretty good! We have one girl on there (one of the other admins) who is on hospital bed rest but has gained enough cervix back to possibly go home soon!
