You are 23 weeks and just now getting the cerclage? Why didnt they so it ealier?. I am praying for you that they dont rupture your membranes. I just read your other posts, i would demand bedrestand no working. It is helping me.

No I got the cerclage at 13 weeks, just started the shots a couple weeks ago.   I am still working, but I have a desk job. I'm starting 1/2 days from home this week.

I loved my original dr. She's the one who did the cone biopsy, and I have seen since then. Up until I was like 16 weeks she was the one I saw but I think she might have been pregnancy and put on bedrest   One of the other dr's I see did the cerclage, and I like him well enough, and the other one is ok too, but I think they are a lot more liberal than my original dr. That's the part that makes me keep getting nervous. I have an appt tomorrow and I'll be asking what they think about bedrest and anything else for the future.

I got it now thanks. Sorry I was so confused. I work at a call center so i sit too and puts me under a ton of stress. I am glad she pulled me from work. I am guessing i may be able to go back when baby is livable but not sure.

No worries   That's what I was confused/worried about, why not be a little extra precautionary and take me out of work earlier so I can make it to viability. I started out feeling pressure only if I stood too long, but now it's if I'm sitting at my desk too long as well. Luckily, I am transitioning this week to working from home 1/2 days so that should help that out. I haven't had any changes so far so I'm assuming that's why they haven't yanked me out of work. Crazy times though!

You must not be dialated at all so thats good. My cervix is long now since she was able to stretch it. My cervix is closed now too but man when i have bowel movement sorry tmi i feel like i am pushing baby out.it scares me really bad.

Cervix is holding up still so that's positive. They just told me the results of my ultrasound from two weeks ago though. There was a spot on the baby's heart, so I have to get another one done in two weeks. It could indicate down syndrome, but since my NT Scan and blood came back in the first trimester with such a low risk, the doc thinks it could go away, or mean nothing. I'm trying not to worry, but of course that's hard to do.

Great   I was surprised when I got mine. It's hard not to work yourself before hand. Glad it went well! Keep resting!

What happens when its time to give birth, the doctor told me they just cut it loose but really didnt go into details or anything. Just wondering what i have to look forward to.

Most docs cut it before labor....not all but going into labor risks tearing. Had my removed at 36 wks.
