I would think they'd numb you a little before that one too. I'd ask the doc if they do

Yes but it's a spinal block. It doesn't stay in your back. Its a pinching feeling so not too bad but totally weird going numb like you do.

my spinal for the cerclage and csection didn't go smoothly at all. for some reason they couldn't find a nerve and kept hitting bone... be pepared for anything!

Seriously. I told them that before my section but they said it was too risky. took 10 tries and 2 anesthesiologists before it took and it still wore off before the doc started putting in the staples.

Oh hell no...that is ridiculous! I would be so pissed off.

the cerclage I was 15 wks. The c-section I was 35.5wks. And yea, they can put you under but it's only in emergency situations.

swinal tap is where they pull fluid out of your spine.......you just had a spinal

So I have the cerclage in but for some reason turtle likes to put her foot in my cervix or headbutt it....everyday...repeatedly... And it makes me nervous... I mean I know I have this stitch in but I swear it makes my vagina throb, and it makes me nervous...  

My little girl does too. I asked my doc if that's ok and he said it won't do anything. It's just scary lol I thought she could loosen up the stitch, he just smiled and said that she can't do anythin to it, it will just be irratating to us but won't do any harm =)

Well that's good to know!! Like I have to keep telling myself it's stitched closed, but she apparently likes to sit right in my pelvis on my cervix and doesn't move from it much and it's been worrying the crap outta me...   It's also kinda painful/heavy feeling but I guess that's to be expected with her sitting right there...

I get the heavy feeling in my cervix too, like LO is already putting pressure on it. I also get really sharp pains randomly. They never last long, but they are excruitating for those few seconds. Does any one else get that? I used to get the pain occasionally around the time my period was due too,but not always.
