ohh ok i'm torn between the suppository and the injections.... did you do them yourself? I don't have anyone around to give them to me really... and idk if i can stick myself

I had to go to the dr. once a week to get my shots. They didn't give me the option to do them myself and suppositories were not an option for me either.

I never had that issue with the injections...but it have me insomnia

My doc have me the option of having someone give them to me out driving once a week to have them do it...my mom did it tho

i get the shots weekly, i choose to go to the office to have them they said they could teach me to do them my self! But yea i am not brave enough

Hello ladies! It's been awhile since I've posted but I did want to get on here and let everyone know that things are going really good! I will be 36 weeks on Sunday and baby is doing great! I had my last ultrasound yesterday and baby is weighing 6LBS 3OZ as of right now and I am schedualed to have my c-section on March 19th   I am guessing his birth weight to be 7LBS 6OZ... I want to just say thanks to all of you who supported me and gave me advise throughout this pregnancy it's been a rough one for sure but so worth it! Only 17 more days till I'm holding my baby boy   I will post pictures!

Hello I'm on my 4th pregnancy and 24 weeks was just diagnosed with IC. All of my previous pregnancies were fine. So not sure why I'm going through this. I am scheduled to go to the hospital for my clerage suture tomorrow and I am very nervous.

Sometimes we never know the cause. What is your length currently? I had my cerclage placed at 23w5d and carried to 36w3d. Good luck and please update when you can. Speedy recovery!!!

did you have a rough labor with any of your other children? labor itself can actually cause incompetent cervix because it can cause damage to your cervix.

Good Luck!! I had my emergency cerclage put in at 19 weeks and my cervix was at .8 when I had it done. It really wasnt that bad and my the pain wasnt all that bad either. I expected it to be a lot worse. I am now 32 weeks and slowly getting to the end. I hope all goes great for you !!

Hi ladies. I just found out I'm pregnant 4w5d. This is my second baby. In lost my son June 28, 2011 at 20w due to IC. My husband and I are super excited but I'm still so scared. My doctor determined I have an IC and said I'll have to go in for surgery to tie, sew my cervix. Any idea when this procedure is usually done? What should I be expecting?

Usually 12-14 wks but some do it a little earlier and some a little later...there are times when it's done even later but those are usually rescue cerclages.

IM glad someone posted something about this. I am very high risk due to a leep procedure I had done a few months back. Now my baby is VERY LOW and is pressing on my cervix. I am 25 weeks pregnant due June 22nd. My dr doesnt think I am gonna make it full term. I have to wear a support belt to try to hold supposrt my stomach. I dont think it really does that much. When I am not at work (I cut down my hours big time) I have to be relaxing and not doing anything that may induce labor. My pregnancy from the start was very difficult and it hasnt gotten an easier. The one good thing is that this little boy inside me loves to rough house.

Welcome. Hang in there Tammy.   What is your doctors protocol now? Are they watching your cervix? Are you doing Progesterone therapy? Bedrest?

Like you I also had a LEEP but went on to have a more invasive surgery after that called a Cone Bx.....my pregnancy following the surgeries resulted in a cerclage. My second pregnancy also resulted in a cerclage but much later at 23w5d (non emergent)....I was starting to efface and my new Dr. didn't see me making it to term either. (My old doctor and MFM wanted to play the wait and see game the 2nd time around)

Have you ladies ever heard of having fluid inside of your cervix? Was wondering if it was part of IC or something totally different. I am 29 weeks.
