It isn't at all, it's not some Pro-Life talk- you- out- of -it type thing whatsoever, and you only have to share what you're comfortable sharing. It's just an opportunity for you to address any issues you might have, and possibly relate to others in the same spot.

My experience was very positive, everyone was very nice and understanding.

Okay... that's what I'm worried about, because I live in a red state. (Not Maryland, I didn't feel comfortable listing my real state).

I like in Oklahoma, veeerrrry red. We have sooo many restrictions on abortion, it isn't even funny.

If there are protesters there, you can call the clinic and have an escort if there are not escorts there.

I've never had to abort but I understand completely.

Yep, ask for an escort if you need to. I volunteered as an escort (sounds funny, hehe) and it seems to really help keep the smurf protesters at bay.

I honestly wonder how much of the emotional pain that an abortion survivor goes thru is because of how abortion is viewed by a lot of people.

Quite a bit. For me, I knew I was making the right choice, but all these people I didn't know had an opinion about it.

Funny thing is, the clinic I went to also did pap smears and birth control and other stuff in another part of the building. So these protesters were out there yelling their faces off to girls coming in to get on the freaking pill... or make sure they didn't have cervical cancer.

Pretty smurfed up.

Yeah, make sure to ask, but normally they will outright tell you about it if it is a problem they have, and offer you an escort.

And this is why I think everyone needs to talk about abortion more. It needs to be viewed as an acceptable option not something you do when you are stuck and then keep quiet forever like a dirty shameful secret.

Right. If people didn't allow themselves to be shamed, I think we'd be seeing a decrease in those kind of protesters. Maybe not, but they do seem to get off on making women feel like smurf.

they really need to find something better to do then worry about what we do with our bodies!

Really? I didn't have any. A nurse just asked me if I was sure of the choice I was making that day. I terminated at Planned Parenthood in California though so Idk I think it varies by state.
