Gosh today is one of those sucky days! Everyone is pissing me off at work! I should have just called into work today. I'm mad and pissy!
I totally can understand what you mean about letting the house get messy and stuff. It's kind of like why bother? I know Anthony always wants our house spiffy but when he's on summer break with the boys he keeps it very very messy. I hope you get a break sometime soon. Have you and Norman talked about doing another date night? I remember your last one didn't go as well as you wanted so you should give it another shot! I'm sure your mom would be more than happy to keep the boys for you. You know it's important to keep that spark alive otherwise things get really hard. Believe me I know.
You're so right about men's clothes being way more expensive then girls. I don't get that either. Probalby because guys wear more staple clothing and girls things are more trendy and therefor aren't made to last as long? I don't know but you're right. Same thing with men's shoes. Guys can't go to the shoe store and come out with a pair for $20 or less like we can.

I'm sorry your having a crappy day. Did someone make you mad?
When your at home all the time you think why clean when it will just need to be cleaned again in 10mins. Norman comes home and cleans...I feel bad but I just get so tired of doing it over and over.
I know what you mean...we definately need one. My mom is pretty busy lately. They are trying to get my g-ma's house ready to sell and everyone (all her siblings) have kinda left it to her.
Do you guys do date night often?
I know about the clothes! it sucks! I mean just a pair of shorts for him is like $30...I can get at least 3 for that price!...lol

Yeah this stupid lady I work with pissed me off. She's basically dead weight around the office. She is lazy and just pawns her work off on everyone else. She's close to retirement and I honestly think she suffers from dementia. Everyone thinks she should get fired but she's been with my boss forever and she stuck around during the oil and gas crisis in the 80s. I guess he feels he owes her for her loyalty. I say give her a nice severence package and send her on her way!
Yes, that's exactly how I feel while I'm at home. It's like why even bother with picking up. I let the house stay trashed until hte kids go to sleep and then I pick up before bed. The main reason I do it then is because I don't want to step on any sharp toys if I have to get up in the middle of the night. LOL
Anthony and I don't make it a point to have date nights every so often but we manage to do so anyways. Like this past Friday night we went out to dinner w/ those other couples. And it wasn't long before that when we went to Ruidoso. I know in a few weeks we're having dinner and a movie when Sex & the City comes out. We just started going out recently though. Before Izzy was born and it was just Ryan we never took time for ourselves. I'm glad we do now. It's important.

hi ladies..Sue those pics of Izzy and Ryan look so much alike! Those boys are like little copies of their dad. It was nice talking to you on the phone yesterday. I hope today is better for you! I know what its like to pull all the weight in the work place and it sucks.
How are you girls? I always want to reply to this thread and then my kids start needing me for something. right now gabby is hanging on me and yelling "help!" so I should go figure out what she needs.

Hey girls! Have your parents arrived yet Christy? I'm glad they're going to see you. What a nice surprise. That's neat that you'll be surprising your mom on Monday. Will you make it back to CO before they do?
Abby it was good talking to you too! You always make me laugh. Work is better today. People won't change so I just have to get used to it and move on. It gets frustrating sometimes though. So is school out for you? I can't wait til July. I should totally rent a car right? Not everything is within walking distance there is it?

Hey.. NO they haven't arrived yet. Should be around 3 or so. My mom has no clue at all about Monday. They get there on Sunday but thats okay. I'm still excited.
So why is it that no one calls me anymore? I feel so left out. Lol.

Hey I just wanted to pop in and ask a quick question...
Do you guys think that these flowers would be appropriate to send to a funeral?
I know they arent the normal "sympathy flowers" but most sympathy sets are so ugly and the widow is so young...I didnt want some old looking spray of flowers...what do you guys think?

I think they would be fine Ciara. They are beautiful. I agree most arrangements of sympathy flowers are ugly.

Yeah, I just remember from my Grandma's funeral the prettiest thing was a little glass vase with pink roses. Norman used to really good friends with this family...he was the same age as the kids...and the youngest daughter is 23 and her husband just died in a car wreck...its just so sad.
Plus her older sister was induced Thursday morning because she was about a week and a half past due...so she's in the hospital with a new baby while her sister is greiving for her husband...
The whole story is just so sad.

Wow that is really sad Ciara! It's so scary how things can just happen so quickly and peoples lives are forever changed. I think that floral arrangement is beautiful and althoughit may not be traditional I think it's still appropriate. I know if I was to pass unexpectedly and young I wouldn't want all those ugly funeral sprays. I'd much rather be surrounded by pretty happy flowers. I think you should go with it. Tell Norman I'm sorry for his loss. (yours too.. but you know). So when is the funeral? Poor family. What a whirlwind of emotions they must be going through.
How are you girls doing this morning? I'm glad it's Friday! I'm ready for a nice relaxing weekend. Oh and I just checked my bank account and we got our stimulus rebate! I'm excited about that although, I'm saving most of it for our trip to TN.
Hey do you guys know any tricks to getting splinters out? Ryan has a few on one of his fingers (he fell into a wood pile) and I can't get them out with tweezers. The wood is too fine and it seems like they're under the skin. He has a bandaid on it now and won't even let me get close to it. I don't want it to get infected or something.

Thanks Sue.
I think that I am going to go by the florists after we drop the boys off with my mom to see if I cant find something small for her sister and the baby. I feel bad because I am sure everyone is torn between being happy for her and sad for her sister..and probably preoccupied with the death...its hard every which way.
The funeral is Monday...but Norman has to work and he has already taken off so much.
We have Norman's sisters graduation later this afternoon (which is why we are taking the boys to my mom's). Then tomorrow Norman is working and I have my nephews birthday party.
We just got our stimulus check to...right in time for all these flowers and graduation presents!...lol.
I hope you have a good weekend...
I dont know any tricks for splinters, poor Ryan! I know how bad those hurt. I have heard if you leave them alone they will work themselves out...but I dont know how true that is and I wouldnt want it to get infected either.

Yeah that's what everyone is telling me too about the splinters. I guess we'll just wait it out and hope for the best.
So are you going to be able to wear your cute summer dress to the graduation afterall? I hope the weather is nice enough. Is there going to be a party afterwards for her? I'm excited for her. Does she know where she'll be working?
That is such a sad situation that family has to deal with. You're right, they've got to be so torn. It'll be sad in the future as well because everytime that baby has a birthday it'll bea reminder of the death of the uncle. When things like that happen it makes me really wonder what God is thinking. I just can't make no sense out of it. Do they have children?
Yeah it kind of sucks that there are so many expenses right now since we got the stimulus. Like Anthony needs new tires and that's going to be $800. THen my flight to TN was $400. THere goes $1200 right there. It sucks becuase the money is spent just as soon as we got it. But then at the same time at least we were able to cover those expenses without having to use our own money.
I'm about to go to lunch. If you're gone by the time I get back have a fun time at the graduation!

Yeah I am going to wear a little summer dress...not the same one I had intended to wear, but I went by ross yesterday and they had this cute little summer dress for $6...its green and has a kinda vintage feel to it...I just love it. I'll take a pic of us!...lol
I think that she is going to be working in the ER at our local hospital...she's been working there as an LVN for a little while now...she really enjoys the ER, I think she likes that its busy and so time goes by quickly.
I know what you mean about the baby being a reminder...its so sad, I was just reading a news story on it on the paper webpage...its weird but we just missed the wreck because we were on our way home from Terrel going around the loop...it was crazy rain...thats why he wrecked. He died later that night. So scary.
They dont have children, but she wanted them and was just trying to make it through college first. So they had just gotten a dog...to tide her over..
I think its kinda worse that way though...I guess if you have a kid you still have a peice of that person...but with no kids its like they are totally gone...IDK
Why is it that everytime there is new money....there suddenly becomes new bills? Its the same with me. But your right at least we dont have to dig into our own money.
Have fun at lunch...I am fixing to get ready so I can take these hoodlums to their nanny's!...lol.
