PRETERM LABOR.....Again!

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has been in the same position as me or knows someone. I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks (two and a half weeks ago) and the Dr's and nurses were able to stop by contractions after 3 days. I was discharged and sent home on complete bed rest. Last night at just over 33 weeks, i went in with contractions 3 min apart. I havent lost my mucus plug or started dilating but they were once again able to stop contractions after 24 hrs and was discharged again and to remain on bed rest. Does anyone think this is going to continue throughout the rest of my pregnancy? I feel like I am the only one this is happening to. I dont have any friends with baby's so i have no one to talk to about this. Im so concerned. I want him out cuz im really tired of all this pain but at the same time i want him to be safe and healthy... im just fed up! Any advice?

Hello. I already have 2 children and I am pregnant with my 3rd. During my first 2 pregnancies (both around 29 weeks) I went into preterm labor and the doctors stopped it. I was also sent home on complete bedrest (which sucks might I add). Throughout both pregnancies from then on I had labor contractions and was pretty much miserable and in both cases I ended up being induced because I was so miserable. So, having been in this position twice, it's a good possibility that this will continue to happen to you. A few suggestions...stick with the bedrest (moving around can make you go into labor), avoid stress, relax and try to take it easy. If you need to talk...you can always talk to me...I'll parentank you, ok?

Thanks for your post...ive added you. Ya im trying to remain laying in bed but im just getting so sore lying here. But ya as soon as i get up, i contract. I asked my doctor if she would induce me at 37 weeks if i havent had him by then but her answer was absolutely not.   well i really do hope this doesnt continue but ya im pretty sure it will

It continued for me. I had a UTI with my first pregnancy that threw me into preterm labor. I continued even after the UTI cleared up to go into preterm labor. I was in and out of the hospital at least twice a month from about 28 weeks on. The good thing is you're not dilating. I stayed 3 cm dilated from the first time on. Keep that baby in there momma, not matter what it takes. Even if you have to stay in the hospital. Good luck.

Ive went into preterm labor, four times.
between 33 and 36 weeks.
so now im on bedrest, and brethine.
but sometimes the brethine doesnt stop it.
