pap smear results

How long after your pap smear/std test does it take to get your results back???
I had a pap smear and std test last Wednesday and still haven't recieved my results yet.
They said it would take a week, and yes I realize it hasn't been a week yet.

Also.......I had my blood taken on Friday right when the place was closing to be tested for AIDS............Well they already called me back today to give me my results.....That was fast!!!
Oh and I don't have AIDS  

I just wonder why my pap and std test is taking longer to come back.....

Usually no news is good news. But I think like a week or two after my pap they sent a letter saying everything was normal.

Did they say they would call u if there was any problems? Or contact u either way. My doctors office only calls with bad news..

not nessesarily true my friend had goneria (sp?) and she didnt find out from the dr. till she called a month later complaning of bleeding issues. Sorry op not trying to scare you im sure everything is fine i usually got somthing in the mail about 2 wks later saying it was normal. Good luck

Wow thats really odd for a doctors office not to call with something that needs to be taken care of like that.
