Labor Story- baby isiah

I been really busy and finally got the chance to post my labor story, as of now Isiah is 2 weeks and 3 days old and is the best baby ever! I love him right to death and don't know what I'd do without him. He was born November 19th, 2007 at 11:28am- his original due date was November 27th. I was having problems towards the end of my pregnancy with high blood pressure and all that fun stuff. They decided to send me to the hospital on my birthday (Nov. 13th) and I was there for about 2-3 days, they sent me home and I had to go to a doctors appointment the next morning, well when I got there they decided to tell me that I'm going to be sent to the hospital to be induced because of my blood pressure and that the baby would be better off if he was delivered. So I get to the hospital Friday morning and was to be induced Saturday Morning. They put this cervidil (sp) i think it was called- it was to rippen my cervix more- they didn't get that in till late friday night. Saturday came around and they took it out to see if it had changed my cervix... Nope- nothing at all so they put another one in later in the afternoon on Saturday. I was mad because I thought the baby would be here by now, so then they had to induce me Sunday morning.
Saturday night my sister my mom and my boyfriend all came to see me and stay with me in the hospital throughout the day and some of the night, we watched movies and was having a good time, I loved having a room to myself and not having to share! lol Finally the day I thought that would never come! Sunday morning the nurses wake me up and I get my blood drawn and washed up and got ready to be taken to L&D side. Wasn't I gettin excited!! Finally they get everything ready and all hooked up IV's in me like no other- 9:05 came around and thats when the inducement started. Everyone came and saw me by 11-12 that afternoon. My mom sis and boyfriend stayed the whole time (the people that i wanted in the delivery room) we played cards at around 1 for about 30 mins and then I felt this leakage coming- it was small but i felt it.. Well they did the test to see if my water broke and only a little bit of blue showed up so they weren't sure. They gave me medication to help me get some sleep and everyone left.
I woke up at around 3 and as soon as I woke up I felt this warm water feeling like I was peeing myself but couldn't control it- I was about to call the nurse in when she just came in to give me some more medicine for pain. Finally my water broke!! And the plan was for me to be a certain amount dilated and my doctors was gonna break my water, well it did it on its own! I was so excited... I thought that labor was right around the corner.. but i was wrong.. i was so wrong.. I went through pain and sickness the whole night.. I went 12 hours with out an epideral (sp) then finally the pain got so painful that i just couldn't take it any more... I had my mom stay in the room when i was gettin the epideral (sp) and omg wasnt it painful i was crying and in so much pain- finally that was over around 9-9:30pm... I started gettin more sick and was still only 1cm dilated and (finally) 70% effaced... which is was they wanted by 11-12 that night i got to 90% effaced. My mom and boyfriend stayed that night and i got no sleep cause i was still feeling pain. By 4-4:30 in the morning something happend and my epideral wore off the pain was baaad... I was checked and still!! 1cm dilated 90% effaced.. Then at 7am Monday the new nurse came in (who induced me) and checked me... Yay 9.5-10 cm dilated and 100% effaced... So we started pushing... 3-4 hours go by of pushing- my vision was blurry couldn't see or keep my eyes open. Come to find out Isiah was stuck in my pelvic area and needed an emergency c-section... he was out at 11:28am and was sooo beautiful, best part he came out smiling and not crying   now he always has a smile- untill he gets gassy lol... 26 hours of labor 3-4 hours of pushing... it was worth it in the end

Sounds like a tough labor, but as you said, well worth it.

Thanks everyone! It was all def worth it .. now i have my baby boy to hold   & he's gonna be 3 weeks on Monday seems like just yesterday I had him!

congrats hun i was 26 hours of labor and an hour of pushing and ended in c section too but big props to you girl i wanted to pass out after an hour of pushing i was having contractions every minute pushing every two minutes its so much hard work for our little bundles of joy but oh so worth it in the end

I wish i only pushed for an hour lol i was pushing so hard every second that my eyes ended up going blurry .. couldn't open them or anything it sucked i was screaming that i was never getting pregnant again.. Then i got home with my baby boy and told my boyfriend i want another one in 2-3 years after I get outta college lol!! I love my baby boy
