weight gain

i am 19 weeks and a few days but have not gained any weight since before my pregnancy. i was a little heavy before it so not sure if it has anything to do with that. Some parts of my body are getting smaller while my belly is getting bigger so i guess it is evening out. My body is still smaller than alot of people at this time in their pregnancy. Whats going on?

i wouldn't worry. some woman gain more some gain less. in fact if i was just carrying one baby i'm sure that no one would even guess i was pregnant. i'm carrying very small, and was never a big person (very average actaully) and have only gained 20 lbs. everyone comments on how small i am, and ask me if everythings healthy.
another friend i had while she was pregnant was a normal sized girl and gained almost nothing by the end. i think she maxed at like 10lbs gained. she was carrying small too. everyone was convinced that there was something wrong, untill nick was born a healthy 8 pounder wailing to the high heavens. she lost weight in all the areas she had had trouble with and was able to burn that belly in no time.

oh yes, i'm terrified for my girls. and i think that that is perfectly normal. i hold in deep faith that no one is the same, and pregnancy (as i find ) proves that. i'm the first in a very large family to be having twins. and then i discovered i had a subchionic hemerrage. believe me, being parniod is the name of the game!

wow twin girls huh. We were scared we would end up with multiples for our first child. My husbabd has twin brothers, i have tripplet brothers and my father is a twin, plus we have twin aunts and great uncles in the family too. But we got lucky and our baby only has one head for now .lol. Not that multiples is a bad thing, its just intimidating for your first child to go from nothing to two three or more. So how are you handling the idea?
