I give many kudos to you!!! I think you are a brave women to face the criticism of the crowd regarding all of the general public.... i only hope i can benefit my child and future children as much as you have!

Ditto this...I think its awesome.

And ladies, it may not be something that you would do yourself, but don't get all critical of her decision. It may not be here in the US, but its common in other countries to nurse your children longer than the first couple years.

Aleigha will be 5 months on the 9th and we're still going strong! my original goal was 4 months, then when she was 3 months I switched it to 6 months. Now I'm going for a year (not like it's going to be difficult, we both love it)

thats what i was gonna say. it's only "weird" to people in the u.s. most other countries have waaay different beliefs and standards. i thinks its cool if it works for them,  

I breastfeed exclusively and Im almost hitting my 7 month mark

I wasn't being critical of her decision, I was just saying it would seem so unnatural to me if I breastfeed that long. I commend her for sticking to breastfeeding especially when she didn't have that high of a goal set for herself at first.

My daughter will be 10 months on the 19th of this month. Ever since she was born i've been exclusively breastfeeding.
I tried giving her formula once, when she was about three months & she was allergic, she broke out in hives all over her body, & we ended up taking her to the e.r.
i plan on stopping anywhere from a year to 18 months...it's going to be so hard for me to quit !

My daughter will be one on tuesday and we are still nursing.

Ryan is still breastfeeding at 9 months. I was planning on having him breastfeed past a year and let him wean himself, but unfortunately im going to have to quit right after he turns 1. Im having the lap band surgery done in 2-3 months and will have to quit right before. =(

Im really upset over it, but atleast I have gotten as far as we have!

Weight loss surgery. Its similar to the gastric bypass, but its not as crazy and drastic. They put a device on your stomach and pump it with saline water. I have been wanting to have more babies and Ive had the baby bug since I had my son, but I cant get pregnant for 2 years. So.. It will be awhile.

My sons 3.5months and were still breastfeeding. I hope to make it till his first birthday.

I ve been BF for 3 weeks and i hope to do it for a year! (hopefully teething wont be bad)

I have been breastfeeding for 4 1/2 weeks now. I just now have finally gotten my supply up with the help of herbs and pumping. I'm hoping to go to 6 mths to a year. It all depends on how the supply problem goes. I would love for it to continue to work out!
