Dont quote me, but I'm pretty sure its a class for first time parentsteaching all the basics about having a baby...daipers, feeding, ect...

I wanted to go to it, but they had the class at the weirdest times, like Tuesday at 11am... we both were at work! (I'm sure he could get off for the class, but I definitely couldnt)

Hubby just got home...he says baby boot camp IS for first time parents...
we wont be going...sounded fun tho....

Yep...we are at Lejeune...its great here!
Its a HUGH base....with lots of resources.
However shortly after the babies are here...we will probably be going to Oki...im excited about that move!
As big as Lejeune is...its still growing....it would be great to have you inNC my friend

Same here, I wanted to go so bad but on our base they only held it the first monday of the month as anall day thing...my husband had just gotten to his new unit so they would let him off work so we didnt get to go

Haha yeah it be cool I heard good things about North Carolina Bases and its the only place I really wanna go to. Hopefully we can!

I honestly dont understand why they just didnt make it a night class...I was a bit upset. haha...but the class was more for his sake than mine. I've babysat infants and new the basics at least. He had never changed a diaper in his life!

He ended up doing a great job without the class though. He's such a great daddy ;)

I haven't been to them, but I heard that they're good and you get a bunch of free stuff for doing it. I hope to go to one if its available

I hear some units require their Marines to go to the Baby Boot Camp class, unfortunately not my husbands. Oh well we took a baby care class for 15 bucks at the local hospital so my husband who sounds alot like yours got in all the basics he needed.

You know, that would be nice if it was mandatory for all new Marine dad's to take. Chris had to learn from one of the nurses at the hospital how to feed, burp and change her diaper. (I was so out of it from pain of the c-section and the medications) He fed her her first bottle, changed her first diaper. I think it meant a lot to him though, that he was the first to do all that stuff for her.

Thank you ladies for your response on the baby boot camp class  i just dont know what were going to need if anything .I actually met this girl today who told me there really fun and the hubbys have to wear a pregnancy belly thats 30 pounds throught the class ..lol..so im excited

Wow can't believe I never saw this thread. Just wanted to post in here so maybe I can talk with some other mil wives. My husband's in the army, and we're at Fort Bragg. We're about to PCS to Ft Jackson tho sometime over the summer, not sure exactly when tho. Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Me and my husband found out I was pregnant in December. Two weeks later we found out he had to go to Iraq. So he went to training in February and came back for four days in March, then left for Iraq. He's still currently there and won't be back until the baby is about 3 months old. He's bummed about missing the birth of our first child, but I know it's not his fault for missing it. He does get to come back if I end up having a c-section. I am having complications with my pregnancy and his major told him he will have to come back if the baby is born before 35 weeks because my son will have to be sent off to a better hospital to have help breathing. So my husband and I are hoping and praying that our son is healthy and not born early. My husband and I wouldn't want him to come back under those conditions if the baby is not healthy. But I love my husband and support him everyday. I'm proud of my military man!
