posted 2nd Dec '07
Alright, i know that a few months back there were posts about the lemonade diet. I was wondering how many of you ladies that said you were going to do it, did it and if so did you get good results?! Im thinking about starting it, but i want to know if there are good results.

This is the lemonade diet:

"The Master Cleanser Diet, or as popularly known; The Lemonade Diet
was created by the late Naturopath Stanley Burroughs. The Diet
consists of fasting to rid the body of toxins, created by improper diet,
lack of exercise and negative mental attitudes. The purpose of the
Lemonade Diet is to dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion; to
cleanse the kidneys and digestive system; to purify glands; to
eliminate waste and hardened materials in the joints and muscles; to
build a healthy bloodstream; to maintain optimal blood pressure; and
to what you all are waiting to hear... to lose weight. As a reducing diet it
is superior in every way, reducing fat at a rate of about two (2) pounds a
day for most persons, without harmful side effects.

The popularity of the Master Cleanser or Lemonade Diet is growing,
especially now that we have celebrities raving about Mr. Borrough's
diet. Have you seen Robin Quivers? she was featured in People's
Magazine (April 5th issue, read about it!) she looks absolutely
gorgeous after losing 70 pounds following the Lemonade Diet on 3
occasions. Quoting from the article, Ms. Quivers says the regimen is
responsible for erasing the joint pain and fatigue that had plagued her
more than a decade.

In conclusion the Lemonade Diet is a reducing diet, with the added
benefits that other ailments are also corrected in the process"

Someone tried to tell someone that it was a bad diet... this was on a different forum though and I laughed and googled it for them to show them the benifit's, besides this lemonaid diet is only about a week so it's not like you are harming your insides.
I personally could never do this diet because I like food way to much.
The worst diet out there is the Atkin's because you need carbs in your diet.
sorry I tend to ramble on about stuff.
If you are going to do the diet, you'd probably benifit from it.

ANY diet where you deprive your body of nutrients is a bad diet.  fad diets (like this one) included.  any diet where you ONLY eat XYZ for a week is terrible for your body, regardless of how many toxins it "gets rid of"  look at it logically, if you deprive your body of anything but this so-called "lemonade" mixture, then obviously your body is going to have reactions including diarrhea (the "flushing of the toxins" part) because it has no sustenance.  dont hurt your body, just eat healthy and exercise .  there is no miracle diet.

the master cleanse is not supposed to be a diet though you can lose weight on it...but it is supposed to only be a cleanser..which is what I use it for.

I really dont want to fast, i just want to get back into shape asap. Im excersing, but nothing is happening, and im also eating healthy. It beats what i was doing before ... redbull, slim fast bars, hot rox diet pills, chicken, and veggies. Thats all i ate for like 2 or 3 months straight.. i lost weight. But i know that the redbull and diet pills are not a good mix!
