I was the same way I only would like to feed her on my right but then I started to dry out and my left engorged so I had to feed her I had so much problems cause mine was like yours and it also cracked and bleed but I couldn't get anything on the right but I still keep going even though it was painful but now everything is way better and I can proudly say I have breastfed my LO for 9months and still going good that's pretty good for a 19 year old cuz I had to go to the doctor cuz of the cracks and bleeding and they said that that was the worse crack they have ever seen an that most people especially teens give up but I keeper going not only cuz of my daughter she hated bottles and would gag all the time but congrats just keep trying it will get better

One of my cousins was tellin me that her friend was adopting a baby and she wanted to breast feed so bad so she started taking pills before she adopted and now that she adopted the babyshe EBF !!!

I hate PCOS so much. Some of us work so hard to get pregnant, then we dry up when we want to BF.

I also went to forums for adopting mothers who lactate, those success stories kept me strong.

She loves it!! She's able to take the formula and BM without having any stomach issues. She spits up the same amount though.

I love the LC from the hospital I delivered at! She's helping me with my relactation, I'm having problems getting LO on right boob. That hospital was very pro-BF, the LC would visit me every day.

This gives me great hope!

I attempted relactation for a little while, then eventually I stopped because of all the craziness lately. How many times did you pump a day? Also, my LO won't latch without the nipple shield. I have tried for hours before to get her to latch and she won't. Is relactation possible with just pumping? She's also teething, so she chews/bites a lot now. The last time I got her to latch (with nipple shield), she just laid there and chewed...and it hurt. lol.

But congrats on successfully doing it! 14 ounces...wow!! I didn't even pump that much when I was BFing. How old is your LO?

Yeah I read the same thing.  

It would be so hard to relactate and go back to work. I have LO on the boob or I'm pumping all day, it's hard work!

That's awesome!!! And I think that might be the reason for your missing AF now too.

Yes! At first all I did was pump! SO likes to touch my boobs so that helped too! Lol! The first 4 weeks I just pumped, I couldn't get LO to latch. I finally went in to see the LC at the hospital I delivered at, she helped me get LO to latch on my left boob. She just doesn't like my right boob.  

My LO is 16 weeks old!

My RE told me I might have a problem with my supply because of the PCOS. I started researching all this stuff when I was pregnant so I could have a back up plan. I need to go find some good links again.

I read a lot of adoption forums, the adoptive mothers on there tried to lactate. I read the links they posted, I'm basically following what they do.

That's a good idea. I mean, if it was never there to begin with and they are getting something, that's a good sign. I get about 3-4oz a day. I'd kill to go back to 10-13  

That's awesome! I'm taking Fenugreek right now and it isn't working much. Maybe my body is use to it.
