Is to for a boy?

I decided when i found out that iw as pregnant, that if it was a girl i was going to name her Peyton Liann. I love the name, but everyone i have told it to says thats its a boys name....i dont think so....do you?

it's a unisex name. I think it's more for a boy though.

I don't think so, I've heard it both ways. I know lots of little girls named Peyton (I work in child care). It can go either way, I think it's an adorable name BTW.

The only person I know named Peyton is a girl...

It's unisex, but it seems more like a boy's name to me, maybe because of Peyton Manning (NFL). I've actually only met one kid named Peyton and it was a boy, but if I met a girl named Peyton I wouldn't be like "What kind of name is that?" or anything.

I personally think it's a girl name....imo it's too girly for a boy...thats just me though

Thats what I was gonna name my little girl, but changed it to Bailey!

I've mostly heard it on girls, so to me it's a girl name.

My cousins son is Payton (he is 9) - I think it is becoming more of a girls name - remember that WB show - one tree hill?  There is a girl named Payton.  It could go either way.  With your child your opinion is all that matters!

I know someone whos daughter's name is Peyton. Its totally a girls name, but it could be used for a guy too. I think it sounds better on a girl too though.

I say Unisex, I would name a boy or a girl that. But the middle name makes it more girl

I've also seen girl's named Peyton is usually spelled with an "e" (like your spelling it) and boys can sometimes spell it with an "a", like Payton, (someone else posted it like that, I think). I think the "e" makes it a little more feminine looking. Megan went to "daycare" with a little girl named Peyton at her old sitter's house....she is two.

Most of the time thats how it goes. I just didnt want to think that other kids would pick on her later for having a boys name ya know..

Nah, I think it's cool, it's pretty neutral.
