Hoping for Pregnancy Success!!! :)

Hello ladies! My name is Claudia and I am 22 years old and married to the love of my life.   Right after we got married we decided to start trying to conceive on our 3rd anniversary and although it's been hard at times we have stuck to our goal. We just celebrated our anniversary two weeks ago and are extrememly happy to finally be at this point in our lives. My biggest dream is to become a mother and I am so hoping that I am one of those women who gets pregnant on her first try. I am prepared to deal with the fact that that might not be me and leave it in God's hands. He knows me and my husband better than we do and has a plan for us, so if it takes a while I know that that's the way it's supposed to be.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and hopefully being of help and support. I am happy to have found a place where we, as women on the same boat, can share experiences and not be embarassed about our bodies and the changes we may be experiencing. I will be praying that we all get the blessings we want so badly and are able to deal with all the changes we'll experience with patience and love.

Random question... did you get married in San Diego?

It seems (from some stories) that doctors like for you to try for at least 1 year before they even want to test you.
There are also home tests out there now (google fertility home tests). My DH did a (sperm motility) test and he's fine.

The doctor will ask you to start charting if you're not already doing that (learn all about charting on fertilityfriend.com) so he/she can see (from your daily temperatures, mucus status, ovulation tests etc) if and when you're ovulating (or what ever else they can find out).

Well I got pregnant naturally in dec of 2006, miscarried 5 days later. Since that time,I've had to have medical assistance. I didn't get AF for 17 weeks after my micarriage. I really wanted to try right away, but my body had different plans. So I have taken provera to jump start my cycles. I have also for the last 3 months taken clomid. I started off on 50mg, than 100mg and this month I have taken 150mg. It seems I was not ovulating. If you are getting at least 4 AF a year, the doctors think that's fine. However when you are TTC, that's not good news. So as long as you are getting your AF on time every month, than if after a year, your not pregnant I would check with your doctor. I think it's like 86% of couples will concieve after a year. There is only a 20% chance every month to get pregnant. I would suggest taken prenatal vitamins and charting your temp. Also OPK will also help you know when you are ovulating. If I can help you with any more info, just ask!

Thank you for the welcome and the information.   I will definitely check out that website and learn all about charting.   Right now, I'm just keeping track of my cycles and ovulation on askdramy.com. It's really helpful.

I have been taking prenatal vitamins for over a month now, but haven't bought OPKs or checked my temperature yet. I'm sure I will get impatient soon and start doing that.  

The only thing I might be worried about is that I have ALWAYS had very regular cycles. They are 28 days long, they almost always start on the day they are expected, the period lasts six days, and the first couple of days are very heavy and very painful. What was weird was that my period in September was light and pretty much pain-free. The October one was two weeks late, which has never happened to me before. I was freaking out because I was thinking, 'I have waited three years to conceive and the last period before I start is abnormal'. I felt like my body knew and chose the worst time to mess me up.   Once it came, it was normal (painful and heavy in the beginning). I just found it weird that after all this time it was late right before I TTC. But I'm still happy that at least I got it and everything was normal again. Just kind of weird and ironic. Anyway, I will start seeing an OB/GYN very soon and will be sure to tell him/her everything.

Welcome I'm new to this section of baby gaga...I was pregs for 13 weeks m/c and now am TTC! AF sucks. Mine was 6 days late and now is acting VERY wierd. ANYWAYS youlll love it here. Everyone is so nice and supportive. And you can ask ANYTHING! Just apologize for TMI...jklol Anyways I'm 23 and married to the love of MY life. I've learned alot and love new friends. So stick around!!!
