Yay Jamil!!!

So I was all excited this morning. Lucas didn't even take half his bedtime bottle last night so I was like muahahaha, he's gonna be up bright and early for Daddy on his birthday, this is working out perfectly. Well I heard him fussing this morning and the sun was shining right in the window so I just chuckled under my breath yessss he's awake. "Oh Daddy, your son wants you." Well Dan never leaped out of bed so fast to run to him (oh he knew he better get his tush in there and care for the little darling) and I just had the biggest smirk on my face until I rolled over and looked at the clock DAMNIT, it was 8:15!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! Oh well, we're off for the day...happy 4th of July all!

bleh you got lucky jodi...................phillip was fully awake at 4am today, and i tried nursing him to sleep but he just wanted to play............so i put him in the bed between brian and me, and he kept rolling, and rolling, and making noises, and then brian finally got up and rocked him to sleep sometime close to 5am............
he did sleep until 7:30 though, and he's back napping right now........hopefully it won't be a short one like yesterday, and i'll actually get some times for myself

Hey girls! We are fine... but now I KNOW that the "day I don't speak of" is trouble. We were going to party city to look at party decorations. It was rush hour and some 18 year old moron ran right into us. Then he got out of the car and said "what happened?" Ummm "we stopped and you didn't". Easton was really upset, not hurt just scared. When I called the police I guess they heard him screaming in the background so they sent an ambulance. lol. I couldn't get him out b/c we were in the middle of the road and I was so scared that we would get hit again by someone who wasn't paying attention. It took the police forever to find us and we watched the ambulance go by, not knowing they were looking for us.

Anyways we got off the road and wrote everything up. Everyone is fine and thank god for the tire and cover on the back of my Rav-4. It took the blunt of the hit, so not too much damage. The guy who hit use was driving this little brand new sportscar. I'm sure his dad will be pissed, lol.

Justin was ticked off so I had to keep him under control, but to be honest I had so much rage that someone hit us with my baby in the car. I thought I was going to have a heart attack, I could feel it in my throat. Plus not being able to comfort him for like 30 minutes wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm glad to hear that you're okay.  I couldn't imagine how scary that must've been.  I'm always terrified that we're going to get in an accident with Vince in the car.  Not as much since we've moved because there's not nearly as much traffic here.  People in Grand Junction were always driving around with their heads up their. . . Well, you know.  I'm surprised we made it out of there without getting in an accident.  But I'm really glad that neither of you were hurt.  And I hope the teenager gets in huge trouble for messing up the new car.  Serves him right for not paying attention.

Here are our pictures of Lucas at his first parade. We didn't get to see any fireworks becaues it poured here so they were called off other than people setting them off in their yards, we could hear them vaguely, but nothing special to be seen. He didn't nap all day because there was so much going on around him so we were all exhausted by the time we got home last night and passed right out!!!

He loved this little flag, but they made it out of a pencil (unsharpened) so I didn't really care for it...

We had fun, we swam in our new pool (lol) and watched fireworks at our house. Addie was in bed but Alexa stayed up to watch our streets firework show. About 1/2 of the people on our street shoot fireworks and Justin even shot off some big ones this year.

Hey!!! Easton loved the fireworks!!! We went to a free concert in the park by the water. The Drifters and The Marshall Tucker Band played. They had all sorts of games and jump houses set up. The fireworks were shot off from a barge on the water. Easton was just setting on my lap watching and the next thing I knew he was asleep, lol. So I put him in the moby and he slept until we got to the car. We didn't end up getting home until 11pm with all the traffic. But in all it was a good day and it wasn't too hot or sunny so we weren't miserable. I'm uploading pics.
