Does anyone remember me? Need some advice.

Im going to post this here and in the other fourm I really need some advice.
Hey I dont know if anyone is still on here that remembers me but let me update you guys. I had Alyssa on August 1st. I work for Bank Of America and through my whole pregnancy I was on the boards here telling you guys how horrible they were treating me. They wrote me up and told me they were going to fire me because I was put on bed rest, they told me I was going to the bath room way to much and it had to stop. After working there for over a year and never having a problem out of no where I was getting writen up for every little thing. My managers would tell me that my doctors appointments were inconvenient for our banking center and I had to find another time to make them. (Does anyone know doctor office hours?...ok and now what are Bank hours...??..Exactly) Well I could go on forever with the things they did to me but thats just a few things to start off with.
I just went back to work on Monday after being out for over 3 months. I really didnt want to but I couldnt find another job before I had to go back. Well now that Im back there is one of my coworkers that is pregnant now. Never been in trouble before...but all the sudden...guess what!? Shes being pulled to the back being told she needs to learn how to talk to people and told she needs to learn how to hold her urin and can't be going to the bathroom all the time!
I really want to go to a lawyer. I don't know if she will back me up because I think shes scared. She won't go to HR yet but I did tell her she needs to and that I did and they need to know so that they can know there is a pattern here.
So...I what should I do? Everyday I go there I want to cry. I really hate working there and it has really taken a toll on me. I cry every morning not because I have to leave my baby but because I have to leave my baby to go some where they wanted me to come in after being side swiped by a man that caused me to be hit by an 18wheeler and having my car split in 2. Instead of are you ok, they tell me well maybe you can come in tomorrow. I was 7months pregnant at that time.
What do I do? I really STILL want to go to a lawyer. Someone told me I still have up to 2 years to go talk to one and it hasnt even been a year yet. What should I do?

i would seriously get one..
i believe their is some kind of work law where u cant be fired or reprimanded for doctor appts as long as they are legitiment.. and well hello ovbiously yours were.. but i would at least talk to someone with more legal knowledge that way u can make sure u are going in the right direction.. and hopefully that other girl will at least go and talk to someone so what is going on can be out on record..

Do what you think is right. Me, I would have contacted my local labor board. An employer that threatenes to fire you because you are put on bed rest needs to read up on the family medical leave act. I used that whenI was put on bed rest for 5 months. Your employer should have gotten the paperwork for you. I work at my local police department/911 center and I was out just last year, and may be doing it again, I dont know yet, but my employers have been a dream! Contact your labor board and see what they say!

Ok well I dont know if the other girl will back me up just yet but I did get an e mail out of her saying what they said to her. So if she is to scared to back me up at least I have that. I will be calling a local lawyer soon. TodayI heard our supervisor telling her that "I know that you are pregnant and its hard to hold when you have to go to the restroom but you are just going to have to learn to do it." I can not tell you how mad that made me! The girl just did this kinda chuckle fake lasugh and shook her head and took a deep breath. I wanted to kill when I heard that! Im still PISSED about this whole thing. I just need people to tell me what they think. I think I will be going to talk to a lawyer pretty soon.

Ugh, the nerve!
It's like they were trying to make you as miserable as possible just so you'd quit - so they wouldn't have to go through the effort of firing you. That's ridiculous. But, I experienced that kind of blind descrimination too - only I worked for the Hair Cuttery, was un-wed, and newly pregnant at the time. My boss was this Bible-thumping hypocrite and made every day so miserable that I just ended up quitting.
(Just so everyone is clear, I am not bashing Christians - I am just expressing my disgust atthe fact that my boss prided herself on being the best Christian ever yet sat there and talked shit about me and my lifestyle.)

I agree with the other ladies...........you need to let them know what they can and cant do.............i wouldnt give them the satisfaction of quitting!!!!! i would make there lives a living hell! being pregnant does not mean they can treat you any kind of way........if it were me i would have already gotten a note from the doctor stating that i had to go to the potty several times a day....lol...but thats just me.....i was a lead union steward for UPS for nine years and i just love when a company mistreats there employees.........gives me something to fight about!!! do what makes you feel comfortable honey...but i wouldnt let them get away with it!!

wow... that's totally illegal, there is laws especially for pregnant women and there is laws against discriminating... you could most definetly win that case... i think it's worth the time and money. Good luck girl.. and if i were u... i'd really be looking for another job!!

I'm a legal assistant and we get calls all the time about work laws and whatever, but depending on your state, you have a time frame to file a complaint in. Find out what your states statute of limitations is. for example, if you get in a car accident in ID you have 2 years to file suit on the responsible party, if its in UT you have 4 years. so everywhere is different. But at least call a lawyer and ask them their opinion. But dont pay a lawyer to give you one phone call of advice. If you dont find a lawyer to give you a straight answer, PM me with details and I will talk to my boss.
