My Little One

posted 24th Nov '07
I was about 2months pregnant when it happened. I started feeling this huge cramps that wouldn't go away. I was then sent to the hospital and they did the vaginal ultrasound. They couldn't find my baby when just a week earlier the doctor had shown me where it was. I was soo sad. Then I went to the restroom to go potty it was then that I passed a big blood clot. It was then that I knew it was over. My husband and I were sad. And I felt ashamed. I thought it was my fault. I kept re-thinking everything. Maybe if I would have done something a bit different my baby would still be here.
The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that my baby is in heaven watching over me and is going to help take care of the future pregnancies that I will have.

Hi there. First of all, I would like to express my sincere condolences on your loss. I know exactly how you feel. I have had 2 previous miscarriages both at about 8-10 weeks, and thought that I would never have a baby. My husband and I just gave up, because we couldn't go through that heartache again. And like yourself, with the 1st one, we saw the heartbeat through ultrasound, then the next day I lost the baby.
Please don't blame yourself. There is NO WAY in this world that it is your fault. The doctors told me that miscarriages happen because there is something seriously wrong with your baby. It doesn't matter if you have the best nutrition, exercise, etc. There are alcoholic crackheads that have babies no problem. So don't blame yourself. I'm not religious, but I believe it's God telling you it's not your time, and things are better off this way. So don't give up.
I'd like to add that today we are 20 weeks 4 days pregnant, and things are looking great. I believe you will have the same success and happiness. Take care.

No problem Nicole. I'm glad you found this site. I wish I had this site when I went through my miscarriages. It really helps to have someone that went through it... and not just a doctor telling you it's going to be ok.
And I see you're pregnant again! Good luck, and stay in touch. This site is awesome for any questions or concerns you may have. The ladies are great.

I've heard that it's common to m/c the first time around, but that doesn't make it any easier. Please remember that you did nothing wrong, sweetie!! My prayers will be with you. Lots of love!!

I just found a beautiful little poem that I wanted to share with you.

An angel in the book
of life wrote down my
baby's birth, and whispered
as she closed the book,
"Too beautiful for this earth."
-Anonymous

I think that's a great way to remember your little one.
