That seems like it would make sense to me. I hope she joins - I would love to hear her insight on this also.

He has weaned a little but still loves his boob. I don't think he likes anything better, I just hope that he likes colostrum!

Wow really! So was your son eating any solids during your pregnancy? And your milk never turned to colostrum? I find this very inspiring for me and my LO!

Thanks ladies. It was precious. My fav part of it all. I DO have a few pics of it but they are all trapped atm on my crashed laptop. When I get them off, I will share. It was amazing. I only EBF them for 4 mos then mixed for a few mos. til we switched to formula. I wish I had just kept going. It was tough but the best feeling (and memory) I've had.

Ya, he was on baby cereal/food starting around 6 months and completely on table foods by 9 months eating everything we are just modified. I don't know if it was because John was still fairly young while I was nursing and pregnant, but my milk never got to be the really thick yellowish colostrum until the day I gave birth to my daughter and even then it didn't seem to bother him much. I was breastfeeding him an hour after I had her.

Just thought I would join. Im 27 weeks pregnant with my second child and still breastfeeding my almost 24 month (cant believe shes almost two) daughter. I would not have it any other way. I have had my mother and MIL tell me, when I found out I was pregnant, that I HAD ( ) to stop breastfeeding. So I asked my Dr. with my mom there and she said there shouldnt be any problem as long as I was having enough milk or dairy. My mother stopped for the most part but every now and then my MIL will say something. Just recently Chloe was nursing and she came up to Chloe and said 'thats milk for baby not Chloe' then she asked me what will happen when the baby comes? will you still breastfeed Chloe? Will Chloe share with the new baby? Lmao ya I am going to and Im sure she will. I do like hearing more infomation about tadem nursing. It may be stupid but how do you tell the difference between colostrum and milk? I *think* Im getting colostrum, it's kind of clearish now but I dont pump so I dont know.

My milk first got real watery and clear then it got thick and yellowish. The thick yellowish stuff is colostrum.

The dairy thing is a good thing to mention. I don't like milk so I ate other dairy things and took calcium supplements. Your body will take it from your teeth and bones if you don't get enough which is important during pregnancy ever but especially if you're also nursing.
