That's true, maybe once Creedence is home and he sees him nursing he might feel differently.
I'm going to keep suggesting it every once in a while, but not by any means pushing it, and see what happens.

Are you absolutely sure that no one he's been around could be influencing him? I thought everyone was respecting my desire to nurse my daughter until she weaned herself but then my son told me that his uncle (my younger brother) was telling his her that mommy's milk is for babies and she's too big. That's it's yucky stuff. I was livid but thankfully it didn't effect her at all before I was able to tell him where to put that opinion.

Is it possible to relactate during pregnancy? My milk was dried up, I haven't been able to squeeze any out in a few weeks, I'm currently 27 weeks. But lately my dd, 25 months, has been wanting to nurse more so I am letting her of course. She will latch for an hour or more at bed/nap time for the last week or two. Lastnight she was on my breast and I thought inexperienced a let down. I didn't have her unlatch to check because she was falling asleep, but it was that same crampy feeling in your breast up the side and I got really relaxed and sleepy. It felt JUST like a let down. Is that possible?? I know my colostrum will come at some point but wouldn't she have stopped for that?? As it tastes different. My breasts are also very warm today and yesterday.
This would be great but after inexperienced what felt like let down last night I had a few really mild weak contractions. My belly tightened and i got crampy and uncomfortable all around the bottom of my stomach and around to my lower back. I had three of them about 10 minutes apart and they stopped once dd fell asleep and unlatched.
So my questions are could i have relactated or is this probably colostrum? And should the weak contractions during nursing worry me?

Nope, no way. He's only around my parents and DH and while I could maybe see my dad making a stupid comment randomly, DS hasn't nursed for months and doesn't talk to other people about it so I don't see where it would just be brought up out of the blue. If he says it again I'll definitely ask him if anyone told him that.

I wouldn't think you would have let down from colostrum, but a LOT of the girls iin the April dd group, including me, felt that weird let down feeling during pregnancy every once in a while even though nothing was coming out.
Have you tried to squeeze and see if anything came out?
The contractions might worry me but only if they kept happening and for longer periods of time. A few BH here and there are no issue. Just see what happens the next few times you nurse.
To answer your question about relactating, no I don't think you would relactate during pregnancy. If anything it would just be colostrum and like I said I wouldn't think you would feel let down from that.

this is, sadly, another possibility as well. I know someone who this happened too. They nursed all through pregnancy and then as soon as the baby was born, they stopped. apparently someone had told them the milk was only for the baby now (behind the mom's back). My husband also tried to do this, but it didn't affect my son and he nursed right through.

no, I don't think you can "truly" relactate WHILE pregnant. however, it's probably your colostrum coming in a bit, as you supposed.

the uterus contracts when you nurse / your nipples are stimulated. that is normal and should not be a concern during pregnancy unless you are already at high risk for premature labor.

I'm still bfing my 10 month old. I'm 14w pregnant and all of a sudden my boobs are so sore! They haven't been sore at all until today. Idk if he's eating less or if its pregnancy, but I just think its weird that its just starting now... Could it be my milk switching?

it might be! it starts to turn to colostrom somewhere in the 2nd trimester usually.

hey   doing good. over half way through my pregnancy and DD1 is still nursing away! She has slowed down quite a bit, which makes me sad. But I'm hopeful we'll make it to the end and beyond!

When did your lo's wean themselves?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I still have milk. DS hasn't been bothered or anything by taste it seems (he's 12 months old). He doesn't get frustrated at all. It's just like he isn't interested really. He was down to only morning and night feedings, but he just doesn't care for it. Just curious...

Hi ladies, I haven't been here in FOREVER, since 2010 probably, but now I'm pregnant again and I have a 3 month old
So he's still nursing but I'm having to supplement a LOT because he wasn't wetting diapers hardly at all any more and was constantly hungry before I figured out the problem.
