re: leading by example

We're at least mature enough to be on here seeking advice and assistance, from people nonetheless who look down the tips of their snub noses at us and pray for our failure. I do appreciate the "adults" in here who are genuine sympathizers, thank you for your devotion to children, but for the rest of you who sidle up to this forum only to heckle us, shame on you, you're more of a "teenager", and I only use that word in negativelight because alot of you phrase it as such, than we are.

thanks for this i hope people read this and listen to you haha if they dont want to deal with teen moms why even goon that fourm i hate that just because they are 20 or 25 they are automatically better moms then a 17 18 year old mom and i HATE the nasty remarks...soo i think that if they have nothing nice to say to not say anything at all because i just come on here for help and advice not for someone to judge me when they know nothing about me! SO THANK YOU!!

What really gets me is when people say things like "sometimes people don't act the same on the internet as they do in person"
Like being on the internet makes it OKAY to be outrageously rude to someone for no good reason.. just because you aren't talking to them face to face, doesn't mean your words aren't just as hurtful.
I also dont understand how people can be so quick to judge someone by their age.
Like the OP says in the first post, there are a lot of young girls whos heads aren't really screwed on straight yet... but that doesn't mean ALL young girls aren't level headed.
Personally i was forced to grow up a lot faster then most people my age..
so it really makes me angry to see people judging because of age.
Age is just a number... experience is what defines someones maturity.

i likes this blog alot and how u stuck up for us young girls....but i thought this line was a little rude. i feel like u said it to defend us but it was kind of like a back handed defense. anyways...thanks for posting this blog.

As for the spelling and gramtical errors all i have to say is...who really cares if someone spells a word wrong. this isnt school. this isnt an essay. not everything has to be correct. i can see the weird typing this. u no the...ii LoV3 mY babiiDaddy smurf. but if its the little spelling things that i do then they shouldnt be corrected by ppl. i dont capatalize in the begining of sentences. i spell "what" like "wut" and "when" like wen. and know like no. thats stupid to diss someone over those little things. sorry about my rant on that topic.

i hate wen read things acting like us moms are so much different then moms in their twenties. there can be moms in their teens that are good moms. that arent drama filled. and there are some older or normal aged moms that have more drama and issues.

i wish we could get over the age thing and realize we are all moms. all going through the same questions about pregnancy and parenting.

I agree.
I'm starting to not like the website because I wish people would get over the fact that I was TTC and that I may be pregnant and I'm getting tired of hearing everyone's stories trying to talk me out of doing what I want to do.
It's nice that they care but WHY do they care? =/ it's not like I would get pregnant young and just abandon my baby somewhere. It would be properly taken care of.

There has been several times that I've had questions about my pregnancy,
but I don't post anything because I've seen the other teen parents get bashed at and I don't exactly feel like having a ton of ladies tell me how much of a bad person I am.


I don't think I'm a bad person.
Unlike most teens I don't drink or do drugs, I get straight B's, and my babydaddy is my boyfriend of 3 years whom I lost my virginity to.
Although I know it'll be hard, I'm excited to be a parent. I just wish everyone else was just as excited for me to

I know what you're saying.. you've just gotta search for the people who aren't picking every little thing out that others do, and talk to them. It's hard on here! I had no idea it was going to be like this.
