me as a "new kid on the block" agree with you i did not come to this site to be ritiguled or mocked even though i do shorten or misspell things at time either out of trying my best or just lazyness or not noing how to spell the word that is not a good reason to make mean and sinical remarks to me i have only been on here for about 1 wk. and have already had many discouraging and negative remarks along with some positive and good ones.... i have even been "bashed" by one girl who had a child at 15 so has no room to talk bad about or to me and just becouse im 14 doesnt mean im a bad or immature person or my baby daddy is bad i have known him since age 7 and i am one of the most mature people of my age(or that is what i have been told) i just made a bad desicion that i would never ever take back! But thank you Mara

I'm sorry but i disagree, because i have the one to be new on here and post something about me being a pregnant teen. The women were rude and treated me like i was there child. They mocked me, yelled at me, told me to get my ''stuff''' checked out, told me that i couldnt do it, i didnt have what it takes and etc. So i know first hand and these weren't young mothers, these were the adults who i was looking for advice from.

And how did you present yourself to these women? That's what turns me into a 'meanie'. If you can't present yourself properly, you don't really deserve my respect.

Or if you get defensive and rude, when people are giving real advice and true statements. Just because someone doesnt like what you have to say, they get all rude, and start the name calling. lol

The thing I really hate, though, is when teen moms are on here and make up excuses or lies as to why they're 17, have two kids, and another on the way.
I've seen girls on here that say they were on BC and used condoms every single time.
Really? They're not fooling anyone. It's stupid and annoying to see such a pathetic person. Those specific individuals are definitely not going to get any sympathy from anyone on here.

I agree with the slang stuff. It is ridiculous. it just makes it hard to read and I dont even bother with it most of the time.

well i just actually recently made this page, and something came to me as I was writing my about me....
I also made a topic in the teen pregnancy section asking for good words to live by...I feel that everyone situation is different. No matter what our situations are, we are all women going throught this crazy rollercoaster of a journey together. I dont understand why we cant all just share information and help and enlighten each other, instead of tearing each other down, ultimately making ourselves and our friends on here feel more alone then we already do...
Lets continue to lift each other up, and stop being so damn judgemental!

Quoting Mara:“ what these young women DON'T need: quick one-liners that are pointless mockery of their grammar and spelling (you can advise nicely on this one), the too-little-too-late judgemental statements about "keeping their legs closed", and the full gamut of insults that some of the more experienced/older women on here tend to throw out in a moment of frustration after seeing the same level of ignorance for the umpteenth time.

^^well said.

i was a teen mom i guess im not now because im 20?? i still consider myself a teen mom in some ways but i agree with the post about being supportive the last thing i needed when i was a teen mom was someone saying something smart i remember when my daughter was only a few weeks old and we had our regular check up with her and the doctor( which in the military you usually never get the same one) looked at my husband and i and said you must of given your parents a run for their money.. i didnt like it at all i mean here we are married and on our own trying to do the best for our child and i think if it wasnt for our age she would of had nothing bad to say ..
