mucus plug...and other things...

My doc says that my baby is ready to come out whenever she wants...I am ready for her to come out...but I dont think she has a plan anytime soon to make her grand entrance...
I have a couple of questions...do you have to lose your mucus plug before you can dialate?
Does your mucus plug have to have a pinkish tint to it or can it just be the normal discharge color?
Does anyone have any suggestions to help get this child out...I have horrible swelling so for a majority of the day i have to lay down...any suggestions and answers would be much appreciated!!!!! thanks all...

With my last pregnancy (my first) I started to dialate before I lost the mucus plug, i think i was 1 1/2 centimeters. It wasn't pink for me, it was like whitish with a little bit of blood with it. It came out when I peed one night, and I was freaked out at first, but i asked my mom to look and she said it was the mucus plug. I had my babe about 2 days after that. I've heard it can look different, some say theirs was discharge colored, or pink, or more bloody (sorry i know i'm explaining it gross lol).

At your last appt had you dialated at all?

Curry, Sex, jumping up and down. Just try anything. Maybe you can get a chair and sit on it with your chest to the beck of the chair, this will help the baby move to position. When a load of my friends had babies, they went into nesting mode like 2 hours before the contractions started...so if you find yourself in a cleaning frenzy it could mean baby is on the way. Just try and keep, but def the sex, there is something in semen that triggers the labour when you are close to your due date, so bend over teh furniture and let your man take you from behind.

You can tell I've been off work for most of the pregnancy, I'm full of all this information...and I haven't even had baby yet...I'm just going on what I've read and what my fiance has told me (as he has a child from a previous relationship already)

thank you soo much...i swear with out this forum i would die...i have been nesting for the past two weeks...but i do have a need for everything to be clean already...its okay on the detail i need the graphics so i know what i am looking for...it is gross but hey its part of life...haha the miracle of life...i am so ready for pregnancy to be over with...my emotions are going wild, and i cant stand to be around my husband right now...he isnt helping me out at all its just pissing me off and he toys with me saying i cant handle jokes, well the jokes are about me and my weight and my emotions hell no i cant deal with them...i just want to leave but i know its wrong...thanks for the help ladies...
