I think Carson is a boys name all the way.. But, my sons name is Landen and I think that is a total boys name, I've seen quite a few little girls running around named Landen/Landynn/Landyn.

Has anyone seen the movie Shag? Lead character is a girl named Carson (Phoebe Cates, came out in 1989 depicting 1963). I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Main reason I would name my next baby Carson if it's a girl....I wouldn't name a boy that because of the attachment I have to it. Although it's a beautiful name for both genders!

I think Carson is one of those names that can and is used on both genders.
If you want to name your son Carson,then do it and don't worry that too many girls have the name Carson...because that shouldn't matter.

It's a boys name & I LOATHE boy names on girls. I love the name Addison or Avery on a boy but worry not that too many people will think it's feminine.

You should just pick a name you like. My daughters name is Carson and my others daughters name is Quinn. Both are considered BOTH boys and girls names. I liked them because of that. I heard Carson in Shag The Movie (1987). It was one of the main female character's names (Phoebe Cates). I feel in love with it back then. Quinn as a girls name comes from the MTV series Daria. Daria's little sisters name was Quinn.

It is 100% boy.
Just because some ridiculous parents use it on girls shouldn't stop you from using it (correctly) on a boy!

Nope! I'm naming my son either Carson James or Carson Scott! I think for girls they tend to spell it all weird like Carsyn and stuff, but I see it as more of a boy name. Just like women naming their son's Kelly, I suppose.
