Frustration about laughing
posted 10th Nov
Okay, Emma is 7 months...and she is SUCH a silent baby. She isn't much for babbling unless she is in the mood, she could care less most the time. She CAN giggle, and she HAS...but seriously, it takes an act of God to get this child to laugh. She will only do it like once every few days, and never over the same thing twice. I know she can hear well, she turns even when she hears small noises.
Part of me just wants to chalk it up to the fact that she just may be a silent baby...she's such a nosy baby and watches EVERYTHING like she is trying to figure it out. She is super happy...always smiling and being silly, she gets so excited and squeaks at us. The other part of me wonders if there IS something wrong. I don't know...I just want her to laugh more! Its the sweetest sound I've ever heard.

I'm sure she's just figuring things out right now. My daughter did the same thing where she would laugh like crazy at something and then not again. Almost like she was bored of it already. But now it doesn't take much to get her giggling like crazy. I'm sure your girl is just fine; she sounds like she's soaking it all in.

I know that you want to hear her laugh more, but don't concern yourself over something being wrong. It may just part of her personality. She may grow up to be a more serious kid, and have trouble with humor in her life. I laugh all the time at things that are funny and sometimes things that are not. I also don't crack good jokes, this is my social deficiency ;)
