I think you should be able to nurse whereever you and your baby feel comfortable doing so. That being said, I always covered up, because it made me uncomfortable having people looking at my boobs. Not for their benifit.

I just dont care about other people that much to make an effort when that effort could make my daughter uncomfortable. She isn't fond at having things in her face at a year old, nor was she as an infant.

Even if I felt uncomfortable doing it (which I did at first) I still nursed uncovered because I didnt want my children thinking it was something to be ashamed of. I want them to see breastfeeding the way it should be. A way to feed your child.
People want breastfeeding mothers to feel ashamed and cover up. I refuse to cover, even if it were in front of the pope

And I agree. I would NEVER want my daughters to think bfing was dirty/shameful/something we only do in private etc.

Breast feeding is natural so IMO no one has any right to tell any woman that they can not BF where they want/need to.

Baffles me how anyone even thinks they have a right to go against it.

That's so wrong, but we don't really know what happened. Maybe the husband did swear and raise his voice, who knows? Not us.

I have no idea about the laws where I live, I'd like to though. I BF anywhere but I use a cover and wrap it around my boob as to not cover Jace at all but still not show my boobs, my boobs are HUGE and I can't be discreet without it. I use it to hide my belly also.

god I wish someone would say something to me lol. There have been times that I wish I had a cover but I made a little promise to myself that I would nurse uncovered all the time just so people would see how natural it is. And maybe one day if all mothers did this it would be as taboo as people make it out to be.

i breastfed in public to an extent. truthfully in the mall its easier to go into the dressing room in dillards and feed the baby on the couch like bench in there. (its more comfortable for me but not because im ashamed to bf in front of people) but if im at a restaurant and my baby is hungry and im at a booth i would bf right there, (chairs are harder to get comfortable in though which is why i always ask for a booth). i will never say soemthign against another mother bfing in public but i have honestly NEVER seen one in my area to do it. its sad. maybe im just not out enough or i just dont notice. also i think my area is full of ffing moms because everyone i know "failed" at breastfeeding even after i tell them not to supplement and use a bottle cause the baby ISNT starving, they dont listen to me.

See I can't use a cover cuz my son will freak out. So I don't use one, But I cover myself the best I can.

Before I had LO I thought that I'd be all shy about breastfeeding but once she was here, I breastfed her everywhere. I've fed her in restaurants, airports, airplanes, during a dance show, in the parking lot, etc. It was just not a big deal to me and I don't recall ever getting any strange looks. Most of the time I don't think people even knew what I was doing!

Me to. I use the cover but tuck it around my boob and his face so he can see. He is feisty l/o and hates being covered. I have a feeling it's going to be trouble when he is older. I hate my body and I don't want it on display.
