What size comes after 5T

My son is only 2 1/2 but already into 5T. I was not expecting to go shopping for clothes this big by the time my child hit two. I have no idea what size is next and where to even start looking. Do I have to shop in the boys sections now or do they still carry clothes in his size in the toddler part of the store?

I know this is dumb but I have no idea where to find clothes that fit him. Size 5T is just big enough to give him some grow room but here in a few months (I'm guessing by winter) he'll outgrow the 5T. That's why I posted in 'Parents with Kids'. I thought you ladies would know better than 'Parents with toddlers'. TIA!

you need to go to the big boys section. i would try the 4/5 xs and see if those fit, if not go to a 5.

XS in kids, which is 4. But you have to watch those sizes. The cut of the clothes, material, and even the manufacturer can make the sizes vary.

Thanks ladies! Who knew this tiny milestone would be so depressing. My kids a big boy now and I have to shop in the boy section!

thn comes 10 1/2 and 11 size shoe. i think they go up to 12 and then they start at 1 in the big kids section.

I cant remember exactly cause i've had girls since then but i think u still have 11/12 then on to 1's in the big boys section. 5 is the biggest it gets in big boys then u have to go to mens. Kinda sux cause my son is tall and lanky so he wears a 8 in mens shoes and he just turned 12 but his swim shorts are still a 6/7

Children don't make u old hunny, they keep u young or at least thats what i keep telling my husband. Lol! I bet I got 10 years on u at least! I peeked at ur profile and i see u have a step-daughter too, so that means u got 3 kids

You're loving rubbing that in my face! haha Yes I have a stepdaughter but she doesn't live with us. We see her alot, her mom brings her around often. We want our kids to have a good normal relationship despite what happened to her and my husband.

I'll be turning 24 in a couple months so I'm sure you're older than me since you have a 12 year old! I guess the whole reality of me aging is becomming more apparent and I don't like it.
