i hoping the same thing.. the doctor did it cuz i was over due and my first baby was over due by two weeks and 10lbs so he induced with the VBAC to help push things so i would keep going... and i did.. i heard once you body does the full ten one time it tends to do it all on its own the next time.. not always but that is what i heard.

I dilated to 10 with my first but had the c-section b/c she was facing up and got stuck on my pubic bone but with my VBAC labor went fast and I started labor on my own just 4 days before my due date. So hopefully this one will go as fast as my second went

Hi ladies ")

I haven't really been on baby gaga much since my hard drive crashed, but I just wanted to share a little update. I'm currently 36weeks and 1 day. Almost 2 weeks ago I got an ultrasound done to check the thickness of my scar, and its thick enough to try for my vbac! We are going to let nature take its course this time around instead of being induced. My doctor is really supportive and has not once made us feel as though he didn't believe in us. We are very excited to be welcoming this little boy into the world! Although I want this vbac more than anything, I'd rather have a healthy baby over the vbac any day. In case a c section is needed, my doctor agreed to lowering the curtain once he is ready to take the baby out, and he agreed to immediate skin to skin! I'm overly excited. No matter what this birth will not be a blur like my daughters. Thanks for reading ")

I was told 18 months from the birth of your child. I actually waited til Zoe was 2 before even trying to get pregnant but most doctors want there to be an 18 month gap so you give your incision more time to heal. There are some moms though that had VBAC's with less time than that in this group.

Are there any tips/ tricks to having a successful vbac? So far I have heard about staying in shape/ exercising, red raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil, are there any others?

i watched what i was eating. only healthy things. it also helps to have a doctor who knows what they are doing and has done it before.

I found a midwife that has done it quite a few times in a hospital that I love, I just wanted to know if there was anything else I could do

Are there any other December mamas in here or is it just me? I am so not ready this time. When you have two children already it is not easy preparing for birth.
