yes she is the same doctor! this is why I am so confused.. the first time she was letting me go to almost 42 weeks and this time she is not... last time she said she would break my water the night before my c-section to see if i would go into labor on my own and now she wont.... like all her rules have changed

Some doctors are pressured by insurance companies.. with changing their practices!! I would insist!! They can't do a c-section without your consent ;)

oh dont worry! Im not giving into this crap! just everyone pray i go into labor soon and i wont have to stress over anything

I've been having contractions every 5-7 minutes for the past 4 hours but they r what I consider mild.... Don't know if its really labor or what

my csection was because...I don't know. he aid big baby and i just went with the flow. 1st time mom I had no hopes for labor. just that we were both healthy i'm an odd one right? I didnt have anything wrong happen everything went great so a 2nd one does not scare me.

But my OB on post this time wants me to do a vbac it was here and another ob who asked. I go tomorrow for an appt and I ask more questions I have other health issues I'm not wanting to blast out there. I know high BP is one of the reasons they assumed my son was going to be big, and I'm obese so I was getting tested for GD every week after 30 weeks with him. I did not have it tho. my pregnancy was pretty flawless with him I only went to LandD once. I thought I was leaking nope lol. But I have a ton of questions for her tomorrow. She said she would not allow me to go past 40 weeks but I don't think she said why how how she would get me to go early.

Usually to induce you early, then give you a type of drug that softens your cervix, then start you on pitocin which makes you contract stronger and quicker than regular contractions... I feel that my c-section happened because of them breaking my water, being on pitocin & not being able to get out of bed.. although I went into labor naturally! You don't have to be induced too early if you don't want to, though.
And I'm not trying to scare you or anything, just inform you, but repeat c-sections are much riskier than the first. A VBAC is much less risky, and I think it's great that your doctor is supportive of it.. Many aren't, or can't do VBACs because of insurance policies.
Also, U/S are very inaccurate in the 3rd trimester. Baby's weight can measure up to 2 lbs off!.. Ask many of the girls on here who have been told their babies were too big! My nephew was supposed to be about 8 1/2 lbs about 2 weeks before he was born, and he only ended being 8 lbs exactly when he was born!.. and his mom did have GD!
I don't know what your other health issues are, but I hope they don't hinder you any!

thanks, I sort of know whats it all about but not much! I will ask questions tomorrow on why she wants to take baby before 40 weeks.
yeah my son was like 10 pounds at 37+ weeks...wrong. he was 7 pounds lol so I know thats never right.

LoL, yeah exactly!! A lot of the time, doctors won't induce with a VBAC because it's riskier... They would rather opt for another c-section than induce, because the pitocin is so much pressure on your uterus. That's why I was wondering why so early! My midwife said she doesn't care if I go over, as long as baby is head down & engaged in the pelvis & doesn't feel too big.. Then she would try less invasive measures to start labor, like sweeping of the membranes or getting adjusted by the chiropractor!

I wonder if it's my health issues. I have a few but not big ones. That big one would just be my high BP. I wonder if there's other ways to induce. It's only a small amount of pit I read. Hmm. In all honesty I would not be bummed if I had a repeat c section. But I'd rather know then it be labor trying to five birth then cc/s. I hate the unknown so bad.

It might be.. But I don't think your BP would be affected by going past your dd.. It will just effect you during labor. Well, I'm not totally sure about your BP issue. There are other ways to induce, but at the hospital, they use pit. Doctor might sweep your membranes when you near your dd too. I would sooo not want a repeat section, but that's just me. My first experience wasn't very great!
