Well done salt, thats great.I'm gad you got your healing experience. I'm desperate for that.
rainbow, if all is ok, dont schedule the section till next week, I'm sure you'll only be a few more days and it they induce you you are heading for a section. Its your choice and if the microwave hasn't gone ping, the baby is not ready. Do the tests first and dont be bullied

Oh I'm not consenting. She'll have to drag me in there kicking and screaming LOL. I'm already doing NST's and BPP's twice a week, which was her compromise for letting me go over 40 weeks. I'm 40w4d now. I'm basically going to tell her that if they continue to be fine, I want to continue with the pregnancy (not easy when I'm so uncomfortable LOL). I won't go under the knife unless it's necessary.

Congrats Salt on your VBAC!! It sounds like it was a wonderful experience for you! And your little one coming the day before your scheduled c-section is incredibly cool! Good baby!!

I'm still here. Nothing yet. My OB scheduled a c-section for Thursday afternoon and will not go any further. Basically, my blood pressure is climbing with every visit, my little one turned posterior (whereas she was in the perfect position last Thursday), and I'm just exhausted and don't know how much longer I can go. If she's not here by Thursday, I'm probably just going to go in for the c-section in the afternoon.

sorry to hear that rainbow. Have you tried osteopathy/ accupuncture to turn her? if your bp is climbing though then out is safer than in. i'll still keep my fingrs crossed for you

Had my midwife's appointment today & everything is great. I'm 34 weeks & I now weigh 1 lb more than I did when I was in labor with DS, lol! Baby girl is head down & already has her head engaged in the pelvis   Hopefully, she'll stay that way! Only measuring 32cm, but I've been measuring 2 weeks less for quite awhile.. Only 3 more weeks until I'm in the clear for my home birth! Have contraction stopping herbal medicine for my constant contractions now.. And a box of newborn baby clothes coming in the mail soon.. Everything's coming together! Now I'm starting to get some baby fever & can't wait to see her.

Just came back from my 34 wk appt. he is head down in the right position, but i guess i have a narrow pelvis. I asked about laboring in differet positions, but my ob didnt seem as though he thought it would help? He said he would let me "attempt" vbac, but he thinks it may end in another section. My first son got stuck on my pelvis, so i dont know what to do. We are def not scheduling a repeat section until 41w5d, so that is good. Anyone have any advice?

what position was your first in? The reason I ask is b/c I do not have a narrow pelvis but my first got stuck face up on my pubic bone. I honestly don't see how a doctor can say you have a narrow pelvis b/c as you get closer to your due date your pelvic muscle become more and more loose making more room for baby to come through. I wish you well and hope you prove your doctor wrong.

Oh, no!! Laying down on your back is definitely the worst position to labor in. Try staying upright throughout labor to let gravity help him come down, and labor at home as long as you can! ...That's what my Dr. told me too when I went to her first.. that I could attempt a vbac, but it would most likely end in a repeat section. It was basically because of liability reasons though, which she told me.. I had my first section because my son was in the wrong position & I wasn't 'progressing fast enough'

I agree do not labor laying down. I stood by the bed and even got up on my knees in the bed and a few times sitting in almost indian style. I did lay on my sides a few times to try and rotate the head (moving side to side) and that was so painful. I highly recommend anything but laying down. I also labored at home til my contractions were 2 and 3 mins apart.

My first was sunny side up, i think that had a lot to do with him getting stuck. I dont know what they look for when determining a narrow pelvis, but he checked structure today and it hurt really bad.
