Quoting Due with #2..O3.11.11 =):“ thank you =) and no I don't yet, I have a doc appt tomorrow to confirm my pregnancy, I will ask them questions about VBAC...”
Quoting Isla'sMom HBAC Hopeful:“ Have you started researching VBACs? Hopefully your doc will be VBAC supportive but if they're not it's ... [snip!] ... to already know the facts in case they try to give you bad information or use scare tactics to talk you out of having a VBAC.”Definitely a great point but also if a doctor isn't supportive it's honestly better in the long run to find another doctor then try to convince them otherwise in my experience.
Quoting babybaker:“ Definitely a great point but also if a doctor isn't supportive it's honestly better in the long run to ... [snip!] ... prove it, but after that conversation even though he said he'd let me try there was no way I was letting him deliver my baby.”
Quoting Isla'sMom HBAC Hopeful:“ Absolutely. That's why it's good to know the facts beforehand, so if they start telling you a lot of stuff that doesn't go with what you've researched you can head for the door ”Definitely!
Quoting Due with #2..O3.11.11 =):“ well my aunt had a csection on April '99... had a successful VBAC on November '00 in the same hospital I delivered my daughter.. so I'm guessing they are supportive?? i dont know...”With the same doctor? The hospital can be fine with it and the doctor/midwife be against it, and visa versa.

Quoting Due with #2..O3.11.11 =):“ oh then i dont know, but I will definitely be doing my research, I saw 3 different doctors last year with my daughter, I didn't ask them about VBACs, but I will go to the one who will support it =)”Well the site I posted before has some listed and can be helpful in finding that provider Also if you can, research some beforehand to look out for warning signs just in case the doctor says they do VBACs and then starts an 'if list'. If they say "you can't go past your due date, your baby can't weith more than ___lbs, you can't labor longer than __ hours, or have no issue or extra precautions taken with VBAC inductions," I would look for a different provider.
Quoting Ivana♥Gabriella:“ I was just reading all the info and I had no idea that bans of VBACs have gone up, I feel so lucky to ... [snip!] ... couldn't. Everywhere I have read states that laboring on our backs is not the best way, I wish more doctors would realize this.”It could help I think. Also I'm a big supporter of an active labor! The more you can move the better.
Quoting babybaker:“ It could help I think. Also I'm a big supporter of an active labor! The more you can move the better. ... [snip!] ... by Janet Balaskas I've been reading it this pregnancy and love it! And it is available at many Borders and Barnes and Nobles.”
Quoting Mama Bee{VBAC HOPEFUL}:“ I was going to ask if you knew if dr. tate had a waiting period between LOs? I'm getting ready to switch ... [snip!] ... we could actually go move over there after the first trimester. I'm super excited to try again(: How's the pregnancy going?”No he doesn't have any waiting period since like other experienced VBAC doctors he knows that's not what makes the difference. He assesses your OP notes and reason for last c-section since that's all that makes the difference in your candidacy.
