Penis question

My sons penis has been turning blue/purple (just the tip, hes circumcised) quite a bit but it never bothered him until recently. He has been grabbing it and saying ow, is this discoloration normal? Hes been having it for awhile and the pedi never seemed concerned about it but now im getting worried

I checked it over several times and there isnt anything there, its been going on since he was a couple months old and now hes 18 months old and it seems like its bothering him but it could be something else. I felt his whole groin area and didnt feel any lumps or anything. I just dont know why he would keep holding it and saying ow

OP, I would get a second opinion. As far as I know there should never be a reason for his penis to turn blue or purple-ish. And the fact that he is saying ow, means it must hurt him. I had custody of and took care of my nephew from birth to 6 months and then again from 9 months to 13 and he never had a problem with that (even when I did not have legal guardianship and was not the primary caregiver, he was still living in our family household) at all. I do not think that that is normal in anyway. Please get it checked out.

The ow is the only thing thats worrying me too, his penis has been that color but he hasnt ever had pain. I called his pedi earlier and they said the earliest they can see him is monday so if it seems to get any worse we will def take him to the er. He isnt constantly holding it or saying ow, it has only happened maybe 4 times in the last couple days. He has been forcing pee out when I change him because he thinks its funny and im wondering if doing that could be causing a uti but im not sure

aw! my son thats light-skinned has a purplish tint to the tip though... idk mama, if its hurts him, id take him in..
