Evil..Evil 3rd Trimester!!

So, I'm just entering my 7th month, and I woke up one morning and could not put my shoes on!! NONE of them fit! I had to go and buy a pair of slippers just so that I had something on my feet. My feet and ankles are so swollen, I have no idea what I'll do once it starts snowing! any remedies for swollen feet? people have told me to elevate them as much as I can and put ice on them, but I hate being cold! What a great way to say welcome to the 3rd trimester huh?!?

We have the same due date! I have been saying all along how easy my pregnancy has been. Minimal discomfort, NO morning sickness. I thought this pregnancy thing was a breeze. But, now, I am on bed rest for preterm labor, my daughter thinks that my ribs are foot rests, she also thinks my bladder is a punching bag, she likes to lay right ON my sciatic nerves BOTH at the same time. I guess I shouldn't have gone on about how easy it all was before, because NOW I am paying! Ugh only about 11 weeks left!

Drink lots of water eat as little sodium or salt as possible and keep your feet up above your hips...pain but it does help. You should see results after about a day or two. Hang in there girls it only gets worse...lol but it is all worth it.

I agree with TJ_MJ drink lots of water. I am in my 8th month and i have no swelling at all. I am in the air force and drink water all the time (mostly out of habit more than thirst). Also try doing some excercise if your're not doing so already, help sweat out the excess sodium but again replenish yourself with plenty of water.

Yeah, I drink water constantly (I go through a case of bottled water every two days) and I am not swollen at all. My problems are with her being big enough to somehow kick me in every organ and my ribs at the same time!!! Also the sciatica.

You probably should call your doc. Generally, you don't swell until the last month!
