Strange fetal movement at 30 weeks?

posted 11th Oct '07
Well...i'm 30 weeks and lately i've been noticing some weird fetal movement. It's kinda jerky, almost spastic and it lasts for a few seconds....it reminds me of when babies get excited and they shake their arms and legs...has anybody felt this before??

I feel those types movements too! I think they're running out of room in there! Have you noticed a change in movement besides that? Like i used to feel punches and kicks and now its more rolling movements and him shifting positions...have you noticed that too??

My little guy was all kicks until week 34 or so and now all he does is just roll from one side to the other and stick out his little bum. I also noticed those weird spastic jerks, almost like a seizure inside. But it's all normal!

yeah my baby does that too...its like a stretch and a seizure in one! i thought it was kinda weird too but it only lasts a second and she moves fine after that so i think its normal! also when I was about 36 weeks i guess when she gets the hiccups its soooooooo weird feeling like a big jerk every 2 seconds lol! its hilarious I feel so bad for the poor baby they feel like they would be painful for her...like it literally moves my entire stomach you can even see it lol!!!!

speaking of hiccups... i never thought about this until i wated a show on babies in the womb. they said a baby's hiccup is differnent from the ones we experience because ours include air. i cant imagine what their hiccups would feel like. and theirs make no noise because it's the air that causes the noise. it makes sense, but i never thought about it. i wonder if it's weird for them, or painful.
