Quoting aerie:" If you think you're pregnant, don't stress yourself out about it. The stress can cause a phantom pregnancy, ... [snip!] ... which is when you pretty much convince your body your pregnant because you're so scared. You can read more about that here."
I had this happen to me in June so I took 2 pregnancy tests both were negative. Now I am pregnant 5 months later at 12 weeks. So 2 months after my scare I still became pregnant. I was on BC and I did not use protection, my lack of responsibility. But I still had my period, or what I thought was my period it came at the same time.
I saw this quoted somewhere just couldn't find the actual post itself.
What lead me to believe I was pregnant: Sore tender nipples
, feeling nauseated and dry heaving after running.
I know you can say "oh people puke after a race" well not so much me I can run hard and feel like crap but I have never puked so I thought this was weird. Also this past cross country season I didn't put worth my effort so my fastest time was 24 something. So finishing a race dry heaving did not seem right to me.
So just for the "fun" of it I had my SO buy me a home pregnancy test and I was determined it would show up negative anyway. Sure enough it did not and we were both in shock, the night before he was joking saying it was going to be positive but we bother "knew" this wasn't going to happen.
