Self Induced miscarriage?

posted 6th Jun '10
Okay, so I know it this probably a sensitive topic, but if anyone has read my previous post then they already know that I am pregnant (early on) and contemplating abortion. Anyway, last night I was googling around and came across this thread. At first I thought it was total BS but after reading a lot of the comments, it seems like it's worked for a ton for women (not everyone as it is claimed that everyone's body works differently, yada yada yada). It also *sounds* safer than the alternative (if it works). So, I was just curious to see if anyone has ever heard of, or used (successful or not) Vitamin C and Parsley to induce miscarriage. Also, what are your thoughts on this method?

Here's the link. but after googling it I noticed there are tons of sites with similar information and claims.

high amounts of vitamin C are harmful for a pregnancy and can result in miscarriage.
Also, Fenugreek.

You could try the Abortion Pill, it basically causes a miscarriage aswell. And I think it would be a better alternative than the herbal route, it seems like a huge process

That's what I thought....so I guess it might be worth a shot before making an appointment for an abortion. I think doing it at home and relatively naturally might make it an *easier* experience...even thought there is nothing easy about this.

i think a medical procedure would be best.. dont do this alone, if your going to do it.. have a professional do it.

BE SAFE.

I've looked into that. For one, it is not approved in Canada and secondly, I've heard huge failure rates with it which resulted in D&C's anyway.

If you try it....you have to use the ascorbic acid kind of VC....and you have to take a lot.

And don't leave your house while doing it.
From what i understand it's MOST effective (which still means not that effective) between 4 and 6 weeks pregnant.
You WILL smurf your brains out. Seriously.

If you try and self-induce a miscarriage, how is that any different than just having an abortion? Self-inducing can backfire and then you could end up with a kid with disabilities or other issues. If you don't want to be pregnant, then get an abortion or ask a dr. about your options for whatever pills there are out there for very early terminations. It's not something you want to "try" or mess-up doing. you know?

Thank you.....I've heard it should be done sooner than later if attempted.
