re: Self Induced miscarriage?

Thank you, that's exactly my mind set on this.

True, it can cause some unpleasant side effects...
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Heartburn
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Headache
  • Insomnia
  • Kidney stones

I mean still though, if she's wanting to get rid of a child, I mean why not just do it safely and make sure it's done correctly, instead of the "trial and error" approach?

Raspberry leaf tea (you can get it as a capsule as well) can help induce a miscarriage.

Again though...only do these between 4 and 6 weeks so that if it fails you still have time to get a relatively easy D&C done.

Unless you tried that, and it caused something to happen to go wrong by chance, and then you had to go through both things, anyways?

How is vitamin C not safe?
It's not like it accumulates in her system. The biggest danger is that it won't work.

Believe me. I TRIED it with the pregnancy i'm currently on. And my doctor knows..and says "Eh...it rarely works...but there's no lasting harm to your fetus...it's still all good in there"

How far along is she exactly?

I highly doubt anything serious is going to go wrong. She would rather try and do it at home, where she is comfortable without the medical procedure. There is nothing wrong with that. At all.

Thanks, I drank that at the end of my other pregnancies and still went way overdue with them....but it did say on the box not to be used during the first trimester, so it's worth a shot.

Your decision either way but it seems like more crapt to get to the end result. I would just go for the real thing.

Considering i've mentioned the 4-6 weeks thing already...i'm going to assume that she's somewhere in that time frame.

She has till 12 weeks to get a regular D&C abortion...and has till 20 weeks before some doctors won't perform one at all in canada.

So she has plenty of time.

Well, then I guess I'd have to go through both. But, if it does work, then I could do it all in the privacy of my own home with my family around me for comfort.

I was being supportive of the OP!

I didn't use any anti-abortion language. I know the rules in this forum.

I didn't mod your post. But you said something about "I'd keep it but that's me" And that's pretty judgemental.

Actually...and I would never, ever, ever do this b/c for me, I don't think abortions after the 1st trimester are right. BUT, in my massive amount of research I have discovered that abortions at legal right up to 40 weeks in Canada...most doctors won't do them that long, but the ones that do, it's not against the law. That was a shocking discovery.

Quoting Mary.:“ are you anywhere near speyer?”

Ahh, maybe an hour or so out? Depends on how we're driving lol. We're usually on the autobahn so it doesn't take that long.
