You can call. Ours are 2 years too and I was like 5 months I think it was short, this was a little over a year ago. But theyll take it when they can it helps sales. Like if it was a month after your new contract of course they wouldnt lol.

Yeah I just got the phone in Jan so I am sure they wouldn't let me switch phones or buy a different one at the contract price.

I just don't wanna have to pay for the data plan! But I hate the phone I have now, I don't even know why I got it in the first place

But buying the phone from other sources and not the store or verizon company allows you to switch phones as often as you'd like.

If you buy the phone from someone else and its not the newest version, you dont have to get the data plan. I was going to get a BlackBerry from a friend he only had it a few months and they had to switch providers so it was still new but they came out with a newer version and Verizon told me I didnt have to get a data plan with it. But if I would of bought it from Verizon, even though it wasnt the newest one, I would of had to.

I know its not like $5 and its not like hundreds haha, so yeah I would guess $30-$50
