Thanks for the info in the resources at the top of this thread. My hubby and I are hoping to adopt. We have 2 wonderful boys, but with how rough my pregnancies were, we are really hoping to adopt to complete our family. We both have dreams of a large family and having PCOS, I thought my only option was going to be adoption. I've had my heart set on adopting since high school, but we're military and that is a strike against us for most public agencies. Now that we know we "can" have biological children, a lot of private agencies won't accept us either. It stinks because we really want a large family, but I can't handle that many pregnancies and I've had my heart set on adoption forever.

I am devastated, the birthmom that I was adopting her baby has decided she is keeping her baby now, her boyfriend and her are working things out. I am happy for them, but sooooo crushed. I don't know what else to do, agency's take so long and i'm not getting any younger. Depression is hurting me so bad. I feel like I am not meant to have another baby!

We went through two failed adoptions before getting my boys. It's a rollercoaster ride and nothing is ever set in stone. The hardest part of adopting is giving up control. Nothing is in your hands... The birth parents hold all the control.
Keep your head up and NEVER give up. I'm here if you need to talk

There is a lot of factors that go into an adoption for example some birth moms dont have insurance so the adoptive parent is responsible for that or living expenses like rent or utilizes.
My first sons newborn adoption in Colorado was over 40,000 my second sons adoption in Wisconsin was 13,000.

our adoption will be about 10,000 when we get done, but we did it privately and hired out own lawyers.

Just adopted a baby yesterday. Took about 10 months, but we're so grateful to have her. (: My heart goes out to any adoptive mama. Such a stressful and a long process, but so worth it.

Congrats!! It is such a process but so worth it in the end. Once finalization is done then the stressing is over!
Is it an open adoption? How is everything going with the birth parents.? Did you adopt out of CO? My oldest was adopted from Co in dec of 2009. We loved CO's adoption laws way better than WI's laws.

Hi all Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Erin, my husband's name is Robert and we are hoping to adopt. Just thought I would get into this forum. Have been having a really hard time dealing with my infertility lately and could really use some support. Hope everyone is well!
