I'm plus size and pregnant. I'm due Aug 6th, 2013. I was working out and I lost 60 lbs before I had a miscarriage about 6 months ago, I gained 20 lbs back then I found out I was pregnant. All of my out of town family keep asking me, do you look pregnant yet. I jokingly say, this baby has a lot of flub to poke through. I'm just hoping I remain healthy during pregnancy and my baby is healthy as well. Good luck to you!

went to doc today had a scare doc couldnt find baby's heartbeat and since he didn't hear it last time (said it could be the fact that i was a bigger lady) , so i had to go to do a viability US. drank my 32 ozs of water, and went and had the us and whew what a relief heartrate was 154, and hubby asks the tech to see if she could tell boy or girl, and she said she didnt see any boy parts that it looked like a girl to her but she couldnt be sure till i was 20/21 weeks, i wll be 20 weeks next thursday, so i'm thinking my feeling it was a girl is correct. i will knw for sure on the 20 (hopefully) go for us then.

i went thru the same thing today! couldnt find the heartbeat via doppler scared the crap out of me until they found it via u/s. heart rate was 156 bpm. glad ur baby is doing great!

Well I am thankful I am not alone ladies. I have been plus size since my last pregnancy 10 years ago...I finally got ,y weight down alittle bit when I remarried....and you know what happens when you get comfortable with someone...I am just shocked I guess is the main thing...before I became pregnant everyone was like ...oh when are you due...crushing when you are not pregnant and have been told that you cannot get pregnant again. Now that I am pregnant...Im not sure if its my age or what...people seem surprised that I am pregnant and not just really fat. I mean I look more pregnant now than I ever did. I think some people just need to think before they speak. I know my age is not ideal for a pregnancy but I am 37 not 57. Granted the last few years have not been real kind to my appearance but cmon...seriously. I am having a real hard time finding plus size maternity. I found 1 store...just 1. And they are so flippen expensive!!! I keep buying 2nd hand sweat pants in just larger size but when you are petite, the legs tends to just drag. Enough ranting for me...Im just glad Im not alone.

welcome to add me on here... I have been on the large side since I was young... My first pregnancy i showed a lot more, my second not so much, i hope i show more with this one. Im due july 31 with my 3rd. and have the up and down coaster of weight after kids too...

wow it's nice to know that I am not alone out here , I am 23weeks along with my first , I have tried off & on since I was 19 yrs old with no luck no I'm 39yrs old & had totally given up on the thought of having kids of my own . I am plus size & weigh more than most of what every one else has posted , my blood pressure is good & I have only gained 3 lbs so far lost some weight in my first trimester due to morning sickness , which I still have grrr ,but it's easier to cope with since my Dr pescribed something for it . I am still wearing most of my same clothes but am worried because there are not many options for plus size maternity clothing in Canada ,I have just bought 2 pairs of yoga pants from my local plus size store ,but I'm concerned about clothing if I need bigger cloths than they offer . I hope I don't but I am wearing 2 sizes bigger just because I get sick when anything is snug around my waist .
I had also just lost over 20 lbs before I found out I was pregnant . & was off work with a broken ankle , I've been back to work ,since early nov. & my friends & family are always bugging me when I am going to go on maternity leave ,since I am a short haul truck driver . my work days are often 9 to 16hour days. I am hoping to work until May and am due June 17th . thanks for posting everyone it's great to know that I am not the only plus size pregnant woman out here .

Yeah.. I'm a big girl. I was 450 lbs before i conceived my first baby, and i lost around 150, and thats when we found out we were pregnant the first time! since I had him I had enough time to lose another 30, but when you're as big as I was... those numbers really arent very big at all looking at weight loss. Especially now that my 2nd is on the way.. I am a little worried that the same thing will happen that did with the first.

I understand i am from quebec and i go down to burlington vermont in the us to get my maternity cloths which are much cheaper then my store here! if you dont live in qc then you can order online from motherhood maternity i love there cloths and there are alot of choices online

I am exactly your age and plus size myself, my belly has just began to pop out. I actually dont give a hoot what people think I am, fat vs. pregnant. However, I have been wearing sweats too, i dont want to invest the money in maternity clothes when Im only going to need them another couple months. Nice to meet you and congrats! Your not alone!!!

I started this pregnancy out at 230 pounds, dropped down to 205. Not because I wasn't eating but, because I have type 2 diabetes so really have to keep my A1C in check and watch my sugar and carb intake. I have had 14 ultrasounds so far being high risk and baby is growing well so she's not worried about the weight loss. I am 34 weeks today.

it is AWESOME to see all the beautiful plus size women reach out! i too, am a bbw expecting mother.
starting weight was 265 now im up to 280! wow! im scared i know im probly gonna be over 300 when baby comes...ahhh sucks but at least im having a kid! dr told me i was not fertile! shows how much she knows!

Staying stylish with beautiful plus size maternity clothes and exercising regularly can be great confidence boosters.
Strong confident women are beautiful women so always be the best you can for yourself.
