re: Plus Size & Pregers

Hey all my beautiful pluys sise mommys,
yesterday a friend of mine made me really mad she said " you will probably have a high risk pregnancy cause your bigger" that made me so mad I can have a healthy baby just like you did. I just needed to vent that out. Also can I get some advise My bp has been alittle high I checked it twice myself at a store and then when I went to my first appointment it was high can someone tell me some ways of lowering it on my own with out medicine she told me not to exercise but I go back next week. I hope yall you ladys have a wonderful day

Doesnt that make you sooo mad!?? My friend told me my first pregnancy that I would more than likely have to have a C-Section due to the fact that I was plus sized.Just because she did. Guess what? I didnt. I had my daughter naturally

We are the exsact same size I have also had these worrise my clothes are already starting to get tight. I can no longer where my jeans and it worries me because I have no clue where I will get my maturnity clothes. I also live in Indiana. I am 11wks now.

I too and due June 6th I cant wear my jeans either I have been wearing stretchy panys or sweat pants I hate it cause I dont feel pretty lol so I know how you feel

Good to know I'm not alone! I'm expecting my 2nd (a girl 29 wks). In both my pregnancies I lot 10 lbs in the 1st trimester. With my son I gained 20 lbs & lost it quickly after having him. This time around I've gained 16 lbs so far (which I'm told is not enough) Fortunately, this is the only time I get to be chubby & eat what I want without gaining & without people staring at me for eating a burger in public

I am 25 weeks as of tomorrow and my fiance still doesn't seem to feel her kick even though I can feel her kick my had. I think he has just lost feeling in his hands because she will kick right where his hand is and he won't feel anything.

Hello Ladies   I am new here and also a plus size dpreggo. No idea how far along yet but we are guessing under a month. I was plus sized for my daughter 12 years ago as well. I was recently 300 lbs but I got really sick, for 5 months I couldn't hold anything down. I lost 50 pounds! Finally the 5th time to the ER (Oh did you know that going to the er for care is NOT a good fill in for not having insurance?! who knew!) They finally took it seriously my second day going in because i was blacking out from pain. I had emergency surgery on my stomach, esophagus and bowels. That was in April. I still havent recovered my appetite at all, I have to force myself to eat. It's been like that since april but havent lost a single pound despite eating healthy and def. not over eating since it's a struggle to eat a serving most meals lol. A little frustrating that I'm going to gain a lot of it back...I gained over 30 lbs with my first daughter, but I was also 17 and stupid so maybe this round I won't gain so much since I'm eating like an adult and not an unsupervised teenager lol But yehh HELLO LADIES! Add me if you want! I need to make some new friends!

One of the things that pissed me off the most my last plus sized pregnancy was my mother. I was far enough along that she was kicking. I was sitting at the drs office with my mom and I said "Oh! She's kicking!" and I grabbed her hand and held it on my tummy. She waited a minute and then said, "I can't feel anything, you're too fat. Next time lose some weight before you accidentally get pregnant." I will never forget that >.<

ive always been a big girl ... i had my daughter back in 2010 and am now on my 4th pregnancy altho only had 1 term so far .. Im 28 weeks n 3 days today with a little boy... with my daughter i was a full time hair stylist n so was on my feet constantly i only gained 10 pounds by the end of my pregnancy n my daughter was 7lbs 10 oz ! This time around I stay at home with my now 2 1/2 yr old daughter so things are way different to say the least ... Im already at 275lbs n starting to worry myself about all the weight gain because before I found out that i was pg i had gotten myself down to 240... I look pregnant but not the way i did with my daughter .. im not as hard in the belly so to speak ... makes me kinda sad i wish i looked as i did when i was pregnant with her but as long as my son is healthy and ok im fine with it i guess.. biggest thing being the dr's are all worried cuz of my weight n now i have to go thru non stress tests twice a week for the whole month of dec.  

I am not pregnant yet, but I am ttc and plus size.   good luck in your pregnancies. I am praying for a BFP!!!

Its nice to hear other women have the same problem! Although here in Australia we have very little in the way of nice maternity clothing that go past a size 18/20 (AU size). I must admit though I have been very very lucky in that I lost 11kgs in the first trimester and although I put on about the same amount in the 2nd and 3rd it all appears to be around the baby! Not in the spots where I lost it (but, thighs, face etc).
You do feel so alone though when you are plus size and everyone around you who are pregnant are of "normal" size...especially when as a plus size women you don't start to show until quite a bit later than everyone else! So thank you to all of the lovely women who have shared their stories above as it makes me feel a lot less alone in this situation!

ello ladys i too am a plus size and i see alot of you are struggling on where to get your cloths i was freaking out crying the other day because i got a job but i cant ware sweat pants for the next 5 months lol my husband being the great man he is went online and found me some prego cloths that are cute and big enough for me go to http://www.motherhood.com/shoppingcart.asp and there are lots of cloths in lots of sizes you have to look under the plus size area though im 16 weeks 3 days hoping for a girl 4th baby all boys so far last one momma needs a lil girl with all theses boys

ok i am also plus size and 15 weeks pregnant i lost 8lbs between my 1st and 2nd visit and have stayed the same weight since....feeling pretty good about it anyway when did you feel your 2nd baby move / kick for the 1st time? my dr says i should between 16 and 18 weeks? they looked for the heart beat under my belly button and would only get little flickers and lose it finally they found it long and strong enough to count it but the baby is all the way between my hips bones is that normal?? was anyone elses baby low like that and if so is it ok? could she have just been there tryin to hide from the doppler?

my son did that it took them almost an hour to find his heartbeat and don't worry maybe the baby is more toward your back that can make it hard to get a good heartbeat rating. btw i'm also plus size i'm at 268 right now and i have tried everything to get the weight off but nothing's worked and now i'm pregnant and i'm worried that my. pregnancy will be high risk.
