I was the same way. I am 21 weeks with my first and worried about everything and had guilt about being overweight. My doctor is amazing though and has put my mind at ease. As long as you are eating healthy and taking care of yourself there is nothing else you can do. Just relax momma! Plus size woman have healthy babies all the time. And the stress is not healthy for you or your little one. Hopefully you have a good doctor like me that will help you along.

Yeah I hope so I hate going to the dr and they make you feel bad for being over weight my biggest struggle I have had is to quit smoking I thought it was going to be easy and I was just going to want to drop them but I have struggled.

I am also plus size. I was around 130 when I got pregnant with my first 2. Unfortunately I lost both at 9 weeks. Then I got pregnant with my 3rd and I was around 150. I was 18 years old. I also had home and family problems so I spent most of my pregnancy living in motels and I was nausous all the time. I gained 100 pounds with my boy. We call him our miracle baby. After him I may have lost 40 to 50 pounds but it seems like the weight didnt want to come off anymore. So I stayed around 240 to 245. I have gotten pregnant 2 more times and lost them both at 9 weeks. One was actually a molar pregnancy. My doctor told me it was a blood clotting issue and gave me medicine to take. But my husband lost his job and we lost our insurance so I stopped taking them. I did get gestational diabetes with my boy around 7 months. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and we stopped trying for a baby. We were actually planning to move to Maine. Well I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant and Im scared to death. I quit smoking, I quit drinking energy drinks, I started the prescription meds a couple days ago and I have been eating healthy and walking a couple miles a day now. We are excited and happy for another baby but also scared to death we will lose yet another one. I looked up PCOS and I had most of those symptoms on the list. I think I was wrongly diagnosed. But I take a medicine for my diabetes that is also prescribed to women that has PCOS so this may be a good thing. I am praying and hoping this one stays with us. Oh and for the women that has gestational diabetes are more than likely to get type 2 diabetes in the future if you dont take real good care of yourself now. Just a heads up. Congrats to all the mommys to be.

I'm not sure what is considered plus sized....but at the beginning of this pregnancy I was 180 and now I'm 223 at my last appt! This is my 2nd pregnancy and I'm 38 weeks! I use to be so thin, but then with my first pregnancy I gained 70lbs!

I was just wondering. All my plus sized ladies out there. When was your husband able to start feeling the baby move? Im currently 18 weeks and I cannot remember with my last pregnancy. I started my pregnancy a size 20. So I was bigger anyways. I know it makes a difference and I just thought someone might be able to help me out!

I'm glad I'm not alone. I am a plus size mommy to be. Usually wearing a 20-22. We tried for 9 months before finally getting pregnant. Having a hard time finding stuff to fit that isn't so darn expensive! I wish all of you a very happy, and healthy pregnancy!

Of course your husband will be able to feel your baby move!! I started my first pregnancy at 210, and delivered at 283 and I could feel that kid move like crazy. I am now pregnant with my second one 14 months later, and I can feel little kicks here and then. I didnt even lose close to enough of the first baby weight, I have been up and down from 258-263. It just depends. But weight loss is totally doable I lost 50 lbs with my son, and then got sad, and gained 30 of it back. There is no problem being curvy and pregnant!!

I am so glad to know that there are other plus size mommies. I am 24 and weigh 260 and wear size 20-22 and I am 30 weeks pregnant. I do not know the exact weight I was when I got pregnant but I know that I have gained very little since I became pregnant. I always avoided looking at the scale at home and at the dr's until about 4 weeks ago. I look at all these skinny girls with their cute bellys and I wished I looked like that.

I agree! It is almost impossible to find cute inexpensive plus sized pregnanacy clothing! If anyone knows any good stores or websites to buy some please let me know! I am just no to the point that my regular clothing is completely uncomfortable!

Im glad Im not the only one out there who is considered a BBW/Plus Size woman and has had a completely healthy pregnancy. Before my pregnancy I weighed 329 and now that i am almost 39 weeks (Thursday I will be) I have only gained 18lbs. I also heard that for a woman of larger size that gaining only 15-20lbs is "healthy." Well in the beginning of my pregnancy I gained and lost about 10lbs for the first 5months, I was kind of scared that my baby wasnt going to be very big. At my last appt., my doctor told me that my belly is measure 2weeks larger than what I am currently. Im not exactly sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. But either way I have my son (vaginally or c-section) I will be the happiest woman in the world. Congrats to all the other plus sizers out there who shared their stories. There is no weight limit on beauty. We are the living proof.

Even at my healthiest weight (in high school, active in marching band 5 to 6 days a week - average walking distance in a week was about 30 miles), I wore size 14 jeans. Obviously, that isn't the case now. I've put on a sizable chunk. I had started losing weight (36 pounds in 12 weeks), THEN found out I was pregnant instead of what we thought was me going through early menopause! Weight has always been an issue for me. However, I have a great doc treating me for migraines, and she told me that BMI is a load of crap, because it does not take into account bone structure, muscle mass, heart health, and a WHOLE lot of other stuff.
My thoughts are: Eat healthy, exercise when you can, and tell anyone with a negative comment to keep it to themselves! Beauty comes in ALL sizes!

Thanks guys. I have been feeling alot of movement and Im just anxious for him to be able to feel it. I think it makes the guy feel more involved once he is able to start feeling the baby move and everything.

Thankfully my stomach was flat before I got pregnant.. most all of my weight was in my arms, legs, and butt. :/ of course since I got pregnant they've gotten bigger. I started at 235 when I got pregnant, got up to 280 and now I'm 35w 3d and at 265.. my doctor said it was normal to lose weight when I got closer to my due date but she has me on bedrest because baby girl was already dropped and head down and I was fully effaced at 33w.. now I'm just waiting for her to be here. Oh! I found clothes at garage sales.. I figured I would only need them for the last couple months anyways.. I also just wear stretchy or tie pants.. those are wonderful.
